Got it, thanks. Well I got the old pulley off, and sure enough, it's cracked and moving in two pieces. The HB 'looks' good, but I'm going to go ahead and stomach the cost and get the Fluid Damper from Leroy and an AMG take-off pulley he has. I like the thoughts I've read so far about the Fluid...
Well, Missy and all, it's the pulley! Ya'll were spot-on. I sent Leroy an E-mail, which here is most of. I am relieved...
Belt off, and I was able to turn it bolt to bolt. It’s detached from the rubber insert. I can certainly imagine that the "KA-KLUNK" sound once the engine spins to a stop...
Excellent. I'll get back with you guys this weekend when I can refocus. Been a bit woozy and happily distracted the past 24 hrs with a few little words: it's a girl. :o Too much going on around here. I may be retreating to my man cave more often, which yes, has a bangin' stereo.
Didn't want to...
Watch this video for the shutdown sound at the end and see if this helps... I'm not sure an injector makes that sound...

Having YouTube login issues for proper video uploads, so can only E-mail 1 minute clips or so.
Thanks, guys. Btw, that video was from a cold start, and my 2nd cold start to shoot a shorter video to upload- the Glow Plugs lamp went off in time before, jumped the gun the 2nd time around.
It looks like the turbo has to come right back out for the injectors (will be doable this time- new...
'Tis true. After more than a few months, the ATT is finally off of my workbench collecting dust and "holy crap, what is that going into?" remarks all year, and mounted on the TerraShuttle! I'm pretty happy.
There's much to go over, so I will refrain from writing a long story here and will...
Ok, hoping to not have to cut my manifold down if possible, but I'll live if we need to.
Just tried sending the E-mail from my other address, maybe the first one went to spam?
Yep, in NYC. But no cases in Texas. :) Will the intake manifold adaptor be fabbed up in time? Forgot to ask earlier. I'll have quite a bit of signature updating to do by Sunday!
Paveltolz- I'm sure we'll get a few.
I've won! I've really won! Alright, game on. Thank you, sir. E-mail on its way now...
I'll see if I can get at the bolts (without taking the wheel off?) this evening to get some oil on them for good measure.
Thanks much for this info! I hope we don't need it, but at ease that it's known.
For...
Ok, I think I may gamble on the bolts. The only ones I'm for sure concerned about are the studs I didn't bother with left at the turbo side. Depending if we keep my stock manifold on I guess.
Ha, no TB either- though you're actually closer to the border for that, hey! :hihi:
Ebola update...
That's kinda what I was thinking. Leroy, any fear they're seized in there, or do you have anything to get them out if so? Thinking worst case, I really have no idea.
Also, you got a welder? I have a little something else I wanted to see if I could get a spot-weld on...
I probably shouldn't mention the illegals coming over and spreading TB either.
I'm beginning to think these manifold bolts are going to be a crapshoot to come by- how bad would it be to negate these and hope the stock ones are still serviceable?
15 mi from that hospital, and perhaps the first things I've ever agreed with O on. ;)

Damn the media! Kill your televisions! Ok, it's out of my system (almost). Yeah, some news has gotten better, some worse (in reality, it's lessening). We can postpone until next month if it helps, Leroy. It's not urgent, I just want it DONE finally. But I can certainly wait a bit if it eases any...
