That stinks it didn't work out. Mine tows so much better with the ATT, and would never go back. I thought Dennis(Slim Shady) was running 18:1 also? So yours doesn't feel any more responsive with the ATT than the GM 8? Reason I'm asking is I had the GLE tune and ATT on my truck for a couple...
I wouldn't put a GM turbo on my truck again. It runs so much better with the other turbo, even just around town. Would never recommend the stock turbo.
I was on a trip towing the trailer and my lift pump went out. Bought one at Napa and when I got home I decided to check it. I could pull it down to a vacuum by the time it shifted into 3rd gear not towing. So I ordered a Walbro and fittings from PMD cable. I think the lowest I see is 4 or...
I noticed the engine braking also. I am pretty sure it is the converter staying locked on decel. If you tap the brake you feel it unlock but if you just let off to coast it will stay locked for a while.
Don't know why I had a problem. I just looked up specs and it says it is self priming. That's weird.
FRC fuel pumps
Flow: to 210 lph (55 gph)
Self priming (dry lift) up to 48 inches
Continuous duty life (diesel fuel): >10000 hrs
Weight: 0.83 kg (1.83 lbs)
Pump cycles...
Not me. Bought a FRC-10 from Leroy. Installed it, and a prefilter. Didn't even think about priming it. Fired up the truck it ran for about 30 sec. to a min. and died. Cranked it for a little, but had no fuel at T-valve. I know Walbro is a flow through because I ended up putting a rag over...
Well, I'm about 10 miles or so north of Sacramento, have room in my backyard if you need a place to stay, and another guy on TS lives about 5-10 miles from me. Or, I am always looking to go camping somewhere if your plan is further north I could possibly meet you somewhere and camp for a couple...
This is the bracket I made for mine with the peninsular intake. I made it out of aluminum. I know, I'm missing a bolt, I have it just need to put it back in
Hey Buddy, where in central CA are you? Stockton, Fresno, or further south? I am curious, you can drive mine and I'll drive yours. I'm fully insured, no accidents, and get down to the Manteca, Tracy area quite a bit.
I know how gears work. I've been a mechanic for almost 20 years. I had the 36 for a couple years before before I did the gears. I had to be doing 80 MPH before I could use overdrive because the RPM's were so low. But after I did 4.88 I thought I would notice a big difference in power, but it...
That is weird. I can't believe it is that different from 3.42 to 4.10. But I am curious as to why. I had a suburban lifted with 36" tires and it had 3.42, I put 4.88 in it and really didn't notice much of a difference in power. I have way better acceleration from idle to say, 2000 rpm than...
I think people are mistaking lag for not seeing the boost gauge move. After buying one(ATT) I wood never go back. Truck accelerates better at 0 PSI of boost than the GM 8 did at 4 or 6 or 8. The truck accelerates better from idle to 1/8 throttle than it did with the GM8 idle to 1/2 throttle...
That's where I got them Brake Performance, not Performance Brakes.

Slotted and dimpled
I put Performance Brake Rotors on about a year ago that are slotted and dimpled with Hawk brake pads, and the truck stops way better than it did with what ever the brakes were that were on it.
