    700r4 - 4l80E quandary

Definitely a 95 then. Cross members are in the same place as far as I know all up through the GMT400 platform.

    700r4 - 4l80E quandary

Did they make a change in the middle of the year? I've never seen a squared column on a 94 before.

    700r4 - 4l80E quandary

Are the dashes on the trucks all pretty much the same? 95 was the first year of the newer dash but the electric components were for that year only. If the 94 is different it's probably an early 95. If it's the same as the others, it's a 94. Many of the 92-94s had tachs, vs many of the 88-91s...

    700r4 - 4l80E quandary

If you're going to swap the 95 cab it should be pretty straight forward, you'll be swapping most of the wiring. The radiator support didn't change much from 88-98. fenders are the same. Grill depends on the headlight configuration. I've put several of these trucks together with parts from...

    700r4 - 4l80E quandary

Is the 95 a 1500 or 2500? 1500s came with a 4L60E and 4L80E was mostly in the larger trucks but it could a 4L80E. All of your trucks are OBD1. The issue would be the wiring which you would need from the 95 and that was the first year of the new dash so the wiring is different. Not saying it...

Didn't get as far as I hoped this weekend but the GMT800 parts are cleaned up and painted.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Yesterday afternoon I took the GMT800 lower control arms outside and burned out the old bushings. It wasn't hard but lots of smoke! I thought I was staying out of the smoke pretty well and it was really windy but still had black soot all over me. I got the holes cleaned up good while they were...

The 46G9213A bushing looks exactly like the one in the Mevotech set I bought from rockauto.

Same for me. Gave me a refund but didn't want it back. It is nice and clean also.

Let me know when you have them ready and I'll get you the money. You can PM me. I really appreciate it! And they shouldn't be all rusty like the ones up here!

These are the bushings I ordered from rock auto for the forged arms which I never got, so not sure if they are the right ones. At least they're not too expensive if they are not the right ones.

Let me know if you do sell them. Still trying to find out if they are a fit for my K1500. Seems to be varied opinions on this.

It is sad! Look at how many of those trucks are still on the road! I wanted to do a lower control arm conversion on my 98 K1500. I've read that the forged ones from a K2500 will work but trying to get them is tough. I bought some off Ebay only to get emails stating that they canceled my order...

What is the right part number for the lower forged bushings? I read somewhere that the Hummer H2 forged lower control arm bushings will work. Moog K6658. Set for one side.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Yes I did. Nothing forward in any range but I still have reverse. I was hoping it was the transfer case. Thinking about looking into a 4L80E swap. I just happen to have one that was rebuilt not long ago.

I may decide to do it myself but I have a lot of "irons in the fire" right now. Thanks for the reference!
