Sorry about the late reply, but I haven't been on there much. But the Bosch is still going strong. Not one problem with it. I'm not sure where it was made. I don't remember looking. I got mine from World Pac. They only sell wholesale to shops, but it has been a great starter so far.
I am not saying to pull 15K lb trailer with our trucks or any other 3/4 or 1 ton pickup. But, I regularly tow our toy hauler and GCW is 16K-17K and my truck pulls it fine and stops it fine. And its funny when people tell me about their new Fords, I know that guy hit black ice and slid all...
Are you guys buying cheap hoses off ebay? I buy all my hoses from this place( http://www.turbohoses.com) haven't had a problem in 5 years running my intercooler. I take that back. A year or so ago I blew the hose off the ATT pulling the toy hauler up a 10% grade. BUT, what I found out was I...
I'm not not upset at all with you Leroy. I don't expect you to warranty something you can't get reimbursed for. I am upset with the warranty Walbro has. If this one fails I will probably just go with the Raptor.
I totally understand that. But a 30 or 90 warranty on a fuel pump it pitiful. I'm not going to spend $160 a year on fuel pumps. If I have a problem with this one, I will end up buying something else. I have a stock lift pump on my daughters 6.2L Blazer and it failed in about a year. Called...
I dont think I'm running out of fuel after the new lift pump. The clutches could totally be the problem. The guy I got this truck from took really good care of it but he towed a lot(frequently). I don't know what size his trailer was, but he had receipts from all over for oil changes and...
So a month ago we went camping and my lift pump was acting up and not working sometimes. On the way home we had an uphill climb and then a downhill 7% grade for about 4 miles. On the downhill I put it in 3rd gear and about 1/4 a mile into the downhill it started surging bad, 2500-2800 bucking...
Mine died 13(7-8K miles) months later. I run stanadyne, a pre filter, and no funky diesel. Just regular #2. Mine started out not working sometimes, then not at all. Then it would start working again. My original went for 150K miles. If this next Walbro I just bought fails, I will probably...
I really need to make better notes. I'm sorry man, I could have made this so easy for you if I would have wrote this crap down. I'll look around and see if I can find my wiring diag. I had when I did it.
Bought a Walbro last april and a month and a half ago I noticed it wasn't coming on with the wait to start light sometimes. Sometimes it would come on for a couple seconds and the wait to start light would be on for a few more seconds after. Sometimes it worked like it should. But every time...
Ok. Thanks. When I got the truck the electric pump that was on it was dead. I found an Airtex universal diesel pump, I think it was an E8153, said it was 14 PSI and 35 GPH. So I put that on. And 1 yr and a month later it took a crap. They warrantied it for me but if it keeps failing, maybe...
Sorry man, just noticed you had "mechanical pump with whole different nose cone". Didn't catch that the first time I read it at work. So I'm thinkin then not too many people have done it, or might not even benefit from it.
The truck has an aftermarket turbo so the mechanical pump was replaced with electric so the turbo drain could go there. But, that was what I was wondering was if the fittings at the pump are the same as the 6.5L that I got from Leroy.
My daughters 83 Jimmy has a turbo on it, and I feel like I noticed a difference when I did the FTB and Walbro lift pump on my 6.5L. So I was wondering if anyone has done it on a 6.2L with a turbo, and if it was worth it?
Just put them on my 99 about a month ago and definitely worth the money. I have towed the toyhauler twice since they have been installed, and it even rides nicer towing.
Mechanical pump was removed for the turbo oil drain, egr is plugged off to install the upper intake for the turbo setup. coolant level is always good, no bubbles or loss of coolant, CDR is new. I did that before I found the lift pump not working. I was thinking the lift pump quit, and then...
