A few days ago I picked up a few front end parts from Amazon for my 96 Chevy truck with the 6.5 goodwrench.Basically it’s a idler arm, idler bracket ,pitman, all tie rods and stabilizer links.I have new Delphi ball joints and two kugel brand wheel bearings. All the front end parts have grease...

Yesterday I took my first voyage in my 96 gmc truck with the 6.2/DS4 since using the ford diesel Sparta brand lift pump and diesel rx fuel pressure regulator.I put maybe 60-70 kilometres on the truck and the fuel pressure was perfect under load. The Sparta pump puts out 43psi so that’s the reason...

I usually slit some heater hose and put it on those cooler lines and zip tie them afterwards just to be sure nothing chafes through.I havent had any issue doing it that way.

Not a problem.Glad to help out anyway possible. You’ll definitely like those arp bolts the minute you attempt to install them. They fit quite snug going up into the starter housing.I put antiseize on them just to make things a little easier.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I looked into getting this new container to work and the only way I can get it to work is if I ditch the K47 and use a basic silicone 90 degree elbow with cone shaped air filter.Even the 92-96 flat panel air filter setup doesn’t give me the clearance I need. Also a different wiring connector...

Absolutely.I hope to get started on this in a day or so.The new reservoir I purchased from eBay fits 2001 model trucks.

I have a new coolant reservoir from eBay for a newer gm truck that I’ll try to retrofit into my 96 gmc truck with the 6.2.It seems the original is hard to find and not very cheap either if I did find one.So several years ago I bought a new OEM reservoir for this truck back in 2014 but you can’t...

They are M10 and fit much more snug going up into the starter housing. The previous bolts were new GM with washers.I just wanted to upgrade and use something better.

They were much tighter fitting going up into the 6.5 starter housing vs the gm bolts.Just felt like a better set of bolts all around.I had the gm starter bolts break off in my 5.7 diesel constantly and after switching to arp starter bolts many years ago I never had a starter bolt failure after...

Just recently I installed the new arp starter bolts on my 96 gmc with the 6.2.What a definite difference after installing these. The gm bolts don’t come close. This is my first time using these on the 6.2 but I have used arp starter bolts some 20yrs ago on my 5.7 diesel which I still have.

Armor all quick silver is great for getting the grime off aluminum wheels as well.I’ve used it a few times with great results over the years.

    Fuel problem

If I ever need to drop the tank on my 96 gmc I’ll definitely go the route you did with the wix filter. My sending unit still has the sock on the end of it.It was a brand new unit I installed in 2014.Both of my trucks still have the sock in the tank but functions okay so far.

Today the replacement transfer case is back into place on my 96 gmc truck.Everything is done at this point that I could get done but I did see a crack in the extension housing upon the transfer case.It must have took a smack while in transit from Texas.I also dropped the pan on the 4L80 and put...

Early this morning I removed the electric shift transfer case from my 96 gmc truck with the 6.2.The old transfer case is leaking in a few different places not to mention with the mileage it has it’s a ticking time bomb anyway. Tonight I installed a new electric shift motor that I purchased...
