I plug the backhoe into an external thermostat, I lay the sensor on the block, to keep the block at least 60 degrees.
If I know I'm going to start it and have time, I skip the thermostat and plug directly into the power bar. To warm it up just a little bit more
I'm not sure I'd want to do...
Do you have a set of left hand drill bits?
I've had the left hand drill bits pull threads out for me when I got close to tap size.
I had a plug on either the 1989 6.2 or maybe The 2000 6.5 - actually could have been any of them. It was for a place that had oil pressure - it was very close or...
The tank usually runs at a slight vacuum.
Seems the reason why was discussed years ago. Might have been to assist in fuel return.
The tanks still have to be vented.
There are pictures around of fuel tanks caved in by the little OEM lift pumps.
Have you ran with your fuel fill cap loose ?
Sometimes the vent in the cap plugs
Use only an AC Delco or GM fuel fill cap for a diesel.
I've never seen any of the aftermarket caps be made for a diesel, even though they claim to be.
Maybe someone else has found a brand that works
We had one in the group, years ago that was a bar with 2 chains hanging no adjustment.
Had one later, that at least one end, had a threaded end on the chain and a handle to adjust it up or down.
I don't know if they were home made or store bought
Curious how much that works for balancing things while removing.
We've used 2 come alongs and a different style balancer than what Will posted in the other thread.
And on some. Just a couple of chains
Looks like it's a lift pump issue.
It may be requiring a lot more juice if it's bad.
I would try with the pre filter bypassed or with a 50 micron inline or a large filter with high volume in it's place.
Even if the FFM filter is plugged, the pressure would probably come up eventually.
Did...
Any ideas on the best way to seal up that style fill cap to pressurize the tank?
I can hook the mighty vac to the return line in the neck.
I also have a snap on radiator pressure tester.
I had a rubber plug, with the built in fitting, that you tighten down to deal a hole. Probably not the...
Now we have a fuel leak
We haven't figured out where the leak is coming from.
We're guessing the fuel tank.
I'd like to put a little pressure to the fuel tank.
Would 15 lbs. Be good?
Too much? Not enough?
Any ideas on sealing up the fill cap?
The return line runs into the fuel fill neck...
I meant to search here. I searched Google instead.
I'm pretty sure I posted the starter bolt torque specs here, earlier this year or last year sometime...
