    Went to Lowe's and bought a filter housing and cold air intake. I put a 4 inch toilet flange on the empty headlight cutout with hardware cloth over it. A 4 to 7 inch duct adapter onto that. A piece of 7 inch duct trimmed to length into that. A 4 inch outlet cone filter is good fit into the duct...

    See if it is only hot with the key on. If it is, use a test light to ground it and see if your indicator light is lit. If so, you got it.

    Sense goes to your car end of the positive battery cable. Light goes to any 12v source that is on only when the key is on. Use the factory dash light wire if you know which it is.     I am really pissed at myself for not doing cam bearings when my motor was out. Low pressure and the whole motor has to come out and come apart, again, to fix it. Also, would studs help the bottom end?

    L will make it work as long as p is connected to the output on the alt. That is how one wire alts work. It's not an accurate system though. Can you take it to an auto parts store and have it tested?

    They all have one. Yours may be a different shape. P pulse, ie tach, L light, ie warning light, 12v only when the key is on. F field, don't use. S sense, 12v from your junction block or starter. There is an excellent write up called the alternator Bible on the web, by Billa Vista.

    My rear, bed mounted AGM batteries use 4/0 welding cable. I used two factory mounts for my cs144 alts, but I don't have air conditioning.
