    Gotta be the "stepper motor" Didn't know what a "stepper motor" was, then I looked carefully at my oil pressure gauge. When I turn the engine off with the ignition still on you can hear a clicking noise that's in time with the gauge needle as it notches down one click at a time. Obviously...

    Is the stepper motor covered under the GM's extended 7 yr/70,000 mile warranty on faulty IPCs? I've got an 03 gaser with the 5.3 - everything works find but yesterday the oil gauge suddenly goes to max pressure with the truck showing no other symptems of anything.
