I should add that neither 4 post will ever be anchored. Intended to be mobile to be able to put them where needed, at will.

Dad and i are putting a Bendpak 4 post together now. He has another 4 post already by another brand. He has a couple older units in the floor. Bendpak instructions are very thorough. Couple complaints but nothing a call to the company didnt help.

Are they drop-in replacements for the stamped style?

That's a design problem. There is a LOT of equipment in the wild that uses a clutch, such as about every ag tractor produced since the horse was put out to pasture. ...or semi, etc.

Does anyone use an Air Dog or Raptor without the extra hole drilled in the fuel tank for the recirculation?

I understand the theory behind it with the crank essentially becoming the column but with the supports (bearings) being so close to one another, it seems it would be very difficult to determine a measureable variance over time between a standard setup vs. automatic. No argument on the point but...
