Yeah- blue state nightmares. I have a few friends that live(d) in NY that have bad stories but nothing like the nightmares of commiefornia. Just be ready for longer times and higher cost unfortunately.

Are they saying it is NOT under warranty? Their warranty should cover any stock and aftermarket parts they had when they rebuilt it unless they said “Replace part X” and you refused it back then.

Being under warranty - i would leave it alone and not give them any excuses for voiding warranty. Could be something with the controller or something internal. Without watching it ona computer and a pressure gauge - it’s all shooting from the hip guesses.

Make sure to burnsish them - (the slow controlled stop / rest drive). That first drive makes the biggest difference there is in life of pad and rotor (also shoe/drum).

It will advance the timing- but it won’t hurt anything. If you want- get one of those dial type fuel pressure regulators for a carburetor. They run about $25 now days. Usually they come with all three size fittings too. The numbers on them say 1,2,3,4,5 but those aren’t exact.

Do you by chance still have the part number handy? It is the same controller used in the 96.5 and newer Hummers, and is part of a desired upgrade for the older ones. My 95 uses a 93 truck controller and afaik many other related parts for the ac system.
