    ABS Diagnosis and Repair

Well I traded messages with the seller of the reman ABS units and I confirmed the fit based on VIN #. Pictures show a complete ABS unit with proportioning valve in place and EBCM, so I do not need the o-rings, valve tubes an TTY Torx bolts. Seller has excellent feedback, so fingers crossed this...

    ABS Diagnosis and Repair

Found this video on the ABS and it is excellent: My ‘99 K2500 failed on the first ohm meter test with a reading of 0.0, which points to a bad pump (windings or brushes creating an open circuit). The pump is mounted to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) which along with the electronic...

New Bosch India 6.5 turbo injectors

I know this is delayed, but how did these injectors test out?

Replaced the rear exhaust hanger on the ‘99, as the original had broken its metal band and was on its way to breaking completely. Next I will replace the section of exhaust from the muffler back. Front brake pads arrived today. Front rotors arrive Saturday. So front brakes on Sunday...

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

The Dorman bushings do not last very long, that’s if you can get them in without breaking them.

    GMT800 Door Pins & Bushings

Cunningham Machine makes superior (to Dorman) pins and bushings for the GMT-400.

Well it was a quick assessment on the Service 4wd light. Crawled under the truck and found the 4-pin harness plug to the transfer case shift motor had somehow dropp and then was rubbing on the front drive shaft. Lost the female side of the plug. New pigtail repair plug ordered.

Just a short 10 hour drive today to Paveltolz’s place where I completed the Red, White, and Blue 6.5 lineup: My ‘99 Burb still has vibration issues in the front. Has vibration while braking coming front right front. It increases from subtle while lightly braking, to a heavy shudder under...

My thoughts: sell it. These Blazers had a bad reputation. I cringed when you bought it. You don’t deserve to be punished by this vehicle.

I had this issue on return line hoses after installing the Optimizer (thanks Paveltolz). Had to get another set of return lines. Ended up driving the last half of the trip from Montana to SoCal with an unknown, but slow leak on the first injector on the driver’s side. It has been fine since...

OK finally got my stainless work table/cabinet loaded in the ‘99 Burb. Also a second 8’ stainless work table, plus my wife’s two glass top tables and legs for all of them. The larger portion of the second row seat would not fit. Frame legs would hit the ceiling and the wheel well in the back, so...

I’ve lost the turbo nuts before. Might consider using locking nuts, not the nylock type. Also blue loctite.

Well the HO pump and Dmax fan on the ‘94 did not have the same effect they did on the ‘99 and the only difference is the crossover.

I’m going off the shitty dash gauges and the ‘94 gauge is really shitty and suspect. Down the road I’ll be getting a digital gauge cluster for the ‘94.

Same components on my ‘94 and ‘99, except for single vs dual thermostat respectively. ‘94 runs at 195 to 200 a can easily hit 210 on a warm day. ‘99 runs at 187 and is mostly pegged there. It and rarely gets over 200 and you must be charging up a steep mountain grade in summer heat.

This is interesting. Because of all the proponents of the single stat, I left it on the ‘94 which has the upgraded 130gpm water pump and the Dmax fan. However, it still runs warmer than my ‘99. I do have a dual stat crossover on the engine we took out of the ‘95, so I might just put that on the...
