Or cut the ear off the one you’re trying to repair and glue (weld) it onto the broken one. I have similar one missing the ear off the RF position (thanks son). Maybe we could make one whole. It cost me $20 to have it welded up.

Do you have the broken off ear? I have a friend who welded one of mine back together and it has worked great.

IMO you’re chasing a money pit because of the low initial purchase price.

My Suburban is next in line after he finishes redoing the head gaskets and heads on a Duramax. It was interesting to see the Duramax engine with the cab and heads off. Head gaskets started leaking at just 150K miles.

Put the new brake drums on today and braking is back to normal. Will take the Suburban over to our local mechanic to have him install the ABS Modulator Pump and work through the transfer case shifting.

The new brake drums and shoes arrived today. I did not feel like changing the shoes, so I just threw the drums on. It is back to braking smooth and normal.
