I also used a milodon oil pump driveshaft as the stock shafts were known to round out.Milodon is pretty much the best in the business when it comes down to oil pump driveshafts and oil pans.I like the products they offer for Oldsmobile engines.

Thanks will.This engine is the DX block.It came out of a Cadillac Fleetwood.I think the filtration is pretty good like you said.The milodon oil pan also has a magnetic drain plug in it too. The Bosch plugs I used are over 10yrs old that I got from eBay brand new.I checked the code on each box...

Here are pictures showing the moroso oil filter adapter so I could use the oil cooler.The electric fan is also wired up now with a thermal switch upon the oil line.

I’d take a gamble on a Chinese block too if I had no choice.It looks like a nice casting.Like Will said not everything made in China is bad.I’ve heard of some guys using those blocks in the past.If the rotating assembly is balanced I feel you won’t have a single issue.

My injector pop tester has arrived.The first tester was damaged in transit and I had to get another one.I will check these injectors either today or tomorrow and see how they turn out.

They look genuine to me anyway.I’ll definitely use them in the near future.All the injectors are sold out now anyway.Everything made now or a few years back isn’t always counterfeit.There are still good genuine sets available out there.

I know of one buyer who took apart one injector to verify the nozzle and it has the Bosch logo on it with the proper nozzle part number.

They are definitely the real deal.I’m quite happy with everything to be honest.I have not tested them yet though.

I received one set of injectors today and the 2nd set I ordered are now on its way.I’ve spoken to a few guys who have bought them also and everyone seems happy for the most part. Only 3 sets left.

The new lower control arms I ordered from Napa arrived yesterday for my 96 gmc truck.I have to say they are excellent quality and just as good as the moog brand I installed recently.Still waiting on the passenger side mevotech control arm to arrive from Amazon to finish up the 96 Chevy truck.

This evening on eBay I purchased a new daytime running light module for my 96 Chevy truck.Total cost was $96 delivered.I bought the same module for my 96 gmc truck last year and the new replacement made the daytime running lights function again for the first time in years.
