    cs130 to cs144

Welcome @MrLucky on the conversion, I was able to fit an AD244 alternator on my 95 6.5 diesel without too much trouble. mine called for a CS130, the AD244 is a larger body but does not have the provisions on it for the rear support bracket. I improvised a flat plate with two holes onto...

depending on where it's at, and the condition around that area, it can be repaired.

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

One of these will work just fine for this.. https://www.amazon.com/HZAUTOS-Radiator-Pressure-Automotive-Detection/dp/B0C7VPG7D1

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

you might want to get a pressure tester and have a look. they arent too expensive, only pressure it up to 15 PSI max while it's full of water. then start looking for the leak if you have a pin hole, it will show it's face under pressure most of the time.

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

What are we looking at? I couldn't really tell other than something on the back side of the radiator. Is that really a McDonald's restaurant in NY? never seen one in high class like this

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I had used that orange fuel line from home depot on my 93 when I rebuilt the injectors, all this talk about these hoses and I get home from work today, as soon as I open the drivers door I catch a whiff of diesel! nothing on the ground but a puddle of coolant leaking from the timing cover. I...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

I seem to recall others having this same issue with a certain type of return hose. I had bought my pre cut kit from the auto parts house. I remember it was a dorman brand that came with the upper plenum gasket and clamps.

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

I found one online that does custom rad's but they listed a copper/brass one for our rigs priced at $1700+ I can't see that kind of cost for our rigs. although they did offer a 5 year warranty on their products.

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Your belt is a 7480. top width is 7/16" which is most likely what your rig calls for. the alternator you got is aftermarket. it's also well known that the auto parts stores carry most things nowadays as a "one size fits all" on a lot of parts. I question if the alternator you got has...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

what series belt (top width) are you running? some use the 70 series but the pulley on the new alternator might need a 90 series (old Napa part numbers top width sizes) for reference a Napa 7560 belt has a 7/16" top width and a 9560 has a 1/2" top width. both will fit around the same...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Check the belt wear if it's already tight. if the bottom of the belt is against the pulley then the belt V section is worn and needs to be replaced. not unless the pulley is not the right one and the V section is too wide made for a wider V belt. in that case you;ll need to swap the pulley...

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

Yeah, I didn't look at the overall size. we would need to measure ours to see which one fits best. I would assume the larger one. Honestly for core rows, I can see where the difference between 3 and 4 could be negligible on cooling performance, being more are stacked and more air flow would...

Good afternoon, Thanks for having me in this group. Have a shop in Eugene. Looking for a 12553327 harness or info on what it does

Welcome @Eugene Rider tell us a little about your rig. 69 model with a 6.5! we have to see some photos please :) what year is the engine and it's electronic system from? my first thought is if it has the DS4 IP and it still has the noise filter connected to the optic sensor on the IP, that...

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

The one I posted showed to be a 4 row core, but I didn't look at the hose bibs or fitting sizes.

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

Only drawback is the cores. this one is a 3 row core. I'm sure we can find one that has the 4 row core and the larger ports.

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

it's not a bad price for a copper /brass radiator. I looked at the application listing and it shows all of the big block engines, the pic looks like it has all the right hose bibs, even for the heater hose. I would reach out to Summit and get them to send you the specs on it for sizing and...

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

Yeah the older chevys used them and had cross flow radiators as well. my old El Camino used one just smaller. Looks like all of the auto parts now used the aluminum with plastic tanks as replacements. I did find this on Summit racing. this one will fit a 77 pickup with a 5.7 or 7.4l...

    Aluma seal or bars leaks ? ? ? ?

I was thinking about a copper radiator, but not sure if they make one for our rigs. maybe the same one that fits the square body rigs with a 454 or 6.2 diesel will work if they are still made in copper from normal suppliers
