Just my .02 worth, but when I did a complete brake redo on my car trailer it was cheaper to convert it to electric than to rebuild the actuator, new lines, and brakes. And now I also have a little bit more control over my brakes.

There used to be a kit offered by mrtaillight.com., but i don't think they offer it anymore. They do offer some of the parts for the swap. It didn't require anything but cosmetic changes and some wiring harness changes. When you say "cheyenne", you mean work truck grille, right?

You buy that from the GSA auction?

Thinking the ATF/acetone blend would be good. What benefit is the acetone? Sounds like the way I'll go.

That is one fluid I never would of thought of, but I can see it working. My concern would be once it lost its rust eating capability would it contribute to returning rust?

I did have on AND they repaired it. Must of had a good distributor or luck. I had a section come loose after about six months. Tore about a 8 inch gash and pulled a small section up. The distributor cut out around it and resprayed the area. Matched pretty well.
