Good sounding rig Gekkoen, reminds me of my old 6.5. I had the same exhaust only straight piped and dumping over the rear axle. tried both the a-team and hx turbos. The hx had my favorite sound Quick rev of 6.5 with hx35 and 4" straight pipe - YouTube

I can't remember what year had them, or if any year has had them,( I thought earlier 00-03 gmc) but I am planning to put the same door/courtesy lights from the front doors of my 06 Silverado into the rear doors. From what I can tell the clear light bezels look the exact same size as the rear red...

I was dragging a trailer home from Price UT over the weekend and the check engine light came on, no limp mode or performance changes just the light. I wasn't driving crazy either just cruising. Pulled the code and it was a p0704 which from my reading tells me its something to do with the Clutch...

Well I got some numbers and I am impressed. Just shy of 19 mpg to my families cabin and back, speed limits were 70-80 the whole way so I am sure if I slowed down I would get even better. I am very pleased.

Well I finally got in some mixed highway/city driving and mileage went right to 16. I feel a little better now. Heading out of town this weekend and will report back with some highway mileage.

BFG's are in my future. I plan on some 20'' rims and hopefully to squeeze some 305's under the truck. My old 37'' BFG KM2's I ran at 35 psi and got 50k miles out of them before selling them with miles still left on them. The wear and noise out of them is without compare.

Thank you I will set cruise and see what happens, Im expecting far better than the 6.5 with its 4.56 gears. 70mph in that truck was around 2700 rpm. what do you see for RPM's at that speed?

Thanks for you help guys, and thanks for the number Mike. That makes my numbers sound a little bit better, around 14.5 mph around town, about the same as the ol 6.5. I am sure if I did a lot more highway it would make my mph better. but for right now its only been stop and go traffic around town...
