Stock lifters and rods

We didn't check the compression on the passenger side yet. We wanted to figure out the easy side first.

The timing dot was off on the time keeper. We used the old timing gear and chain to get it corrected, then replaced the chain w/ the time keeper.

The first time my son did the compression test it was 400 psi. He didn't count the cranks. he just cranked until it the gauge stopped climbing. After that, he read somewhere online to just crank it 8 times and record the number.

Yes it is stock. I did put the thicker Head gasket on it since the block was machined.

What should the compression be? My son just did the Driver side. The pressure is with 8 cranks. 1=240 and 3,5, & 7 are all with in 10lbs of 300 PSI. I know # 1 is lower than it should be. Additionally, all the glow plug ends are 1/2 of what they were when they were installed brand new. I'm...

What size are the crossover pipe bolts. I have a few of them that have broken? I was looking at rockauto but they don't have a listing for them.

My son is a heavy equipment mechanic but doesn't have the right compression tool since his is for big excavators, however his boss thinks he has one with the attachment for the 6.5. Hopefully he can find it. Just logically thinking of possible causes. Tell me if I'm wrong or missing something...

So the compression is checked done from the glow plug hole not the injector hole?

Swapping the injectors didn't fix the problem. I have a camera I am going to do an inspection with just to see if a valve is stuck open before I do a compression test. Will all compression testers have the correct attachment for the 6.5 or can I get any one off amazon?
