Ended up with another aftermarket PS pump. This one isn't a reman. It's MUCH quieter throughout all RPM range. I do still have hard steering issues, mostly at a stop while holding the brake. I really need to tear my old one apart and maybe modify/rebuild it.

Asked my buddy if he is willing to sell the PS pump on the crusty plow truck. No response yet, but he is on vacation. So I don't blame him. I stopped by his place and dropped off the cash for the diff, took a look at the PS pump and it's crusty as hell. Might be salvageable, but I am not sure...

Just to settle my OCD, we checked the rear out. No issues there. This fluid was changed about 3 to 4-years ago when I got it. The rear cover was leaking so I had a shop replace it.

Got the secondary differential out. It was rough, that truck is nothing but junk. Completely rotted frame. Needed a map gas for nearly every bolt. Pounded several sockets on, etc. Some of the aluminum case is even disintegrating. Fluid is black, but not metallic. Some sludge on the magnetic.

It's base model, so cloth bench type. Back window has been blow out for a year or so. Critter and weather infiltration. Apparently their plan was to rally it in the backwoods but the rear frame snapped so quick it never happened.

There is definitely some ring gear wear. The coating removal id say is normal for 200k miles, but the outside edges are chewed up a bit and not sure if the wobbly bearing caused that? Or the shrapnel it ate in the meantime.
