When making a line to go from the Walbro to the OEM filter, no special fittings needed. All anyone needs is to measure the length of the OE line and I can make the rest very easily. I would use Stainless cover PFT line if it were me. Greg

We use these Walbro pumps all the time in another project. I really recommend priming them with a vacuum pump first. They are suppose to be able to run dry for 4 hours. However I can tell you the won't. We have found that priming them first cuts way down on future failures. Greg

Don't risk damaging the water in fuel sensor (WIF) by using channel locks to remove it from the filter. This is a very inexpensive alternative. By a 6 pak of the Racor Pff5544 fuel filters and get the WIF wrench free. Price $15 or free when buying 6 Racor PFF5544 fuel filters. Greg

Fittings are one of the issues. Obsolete on earlier models and you would have to have some rubber or something that is flexible anyway. Installation would be much harder than with kits that are already available. Greg

In 235K and 9 years I know I replaced at least 4 of these on my 95. Their use to be a guy that repaired these but I can't remember who it was. Greg

I had the gesr set on my 6.5TD for 235K without issue. It will idle and start much better and the timing is a lot more stable as well. If building up and engine I highly recommend you get it balanced. Well worth the $150 to have it done and the engine runs so smooooth. Greg
