it might also be that the hose is getting cut by the clamp. it looks like it's bulged a little behind the clamp. maybe get you a new set of clamps and a replacement hose and some coolant. what coolant are you using, that looks red like dexcool!! dexcool is the worst of the worst to...
New cam bolts and washers I would say. I would also take a drimmel and clean out the slots where the knockouts were. looks like the one you posted still has some material in there that would prevent the bolt from sliding in the slot
My son's 68 chevy doesn't have power steering and he really want it installed. I have done a conversion on an old 67 before simply by installing a box pump and brackets from a 70 model which all was a direct bolt up mod. his truck has an aftermarket AC installed which kinda hinders this. I...
I will have to crawl under there and measure it. I didn't think about it when I had it apart and should have measured them when I had it pulled apart.
temps dropped overnight. it was in the low 70's yesterday afternoon and now it's 36 degrees and windy out there now! depending on when the...
is this engine oil or trans fluid leaking? if it's leaking on the threads, you just need to remove and put the pipe dope on the threads. most likely it's the clamp though.
Got some time today to fiddle with the shifter on his truck. only two bolts that hold the main part on the brackets. got the shifter pulled and layed out on the table where I could get a good look at it.
didn't take any photos, but I noticed right away once I got it apart what the problem...
I'm still wondering why your glow plug light cycles on and off with the key on. to me something isn't right like maybe the GP controller is tripping. Maybe @Will L. can provide some info on that.
Looks like the return line or the cap has a leak. if you don't have any hose to replace with. in the plumbing section of home depot they have some that is a clearish orange that will fit. it's not rated for this use but will get you by. comes in a 10 foot section so if it blows again...
The rear window might just be a fuse or circuit breaker in the fuse box. hope it's not the window motor. if all is good, place a hand on the door with the engine off and actuate the switch and see if your hear or feel the motor trying. might be a bad spot on the motor or the regulator stuck.
On a Hummer, is there any way to add a sort of funnel type deflector between a push guard and the grille to force air to go into the stack at those speeds? if it sits behind the push guard it won't be noticed at much for appearance. maybe even continue that funnel behind the grille up to the...
I've had decent luck getting the pentles out after a good hot bath in the ultrasonic cleaner. might also be able to loosen them by putting the nozzle in the freezer then using a quick blast with the propane torch, the outer part will expand before the pintle will and give you a moment to...
Verify the harmonic balancer is in good condition, they are engine killers and like to snap crankshafts. also the flexplate too. was there anything pulled apart or loosened on the engine during the transplant like the IP or timing components. These engines are externally balanced.
if the HB...
Where exactly is that sensor located in your pic? that looks like something threaded into the block off plate behind the intake. I don't thing GM put anything there and that might be something aftermarket that's not in use.
the temp sensor is usually on the drivers side head by the front of...
Re-watched your videos. your GP light is flashing on and off as iff there cutting off and on. something isn't right. need to check and see if the GP solenoid is actually cutting off and on like that. might be you have a short on one of the GP wires causing this. Your GP light should turn...
Good old original green coolant. do not use dexcool. the green is getting harder to find, last time I checked Oriliey auto still carries it in there house brand.
