It seemed to me from my past years in the square body trucks I had that it could be the possibility of two fuses. I could remember that there is a gauge lamp fuse but I could not remember which fuse the other one was. Yup, tail lamp fuse.

Didjuh check the fuse ? ? ? ? IIRC, there may be two fuses to the dadh light circuitry, somehow if on or the other of those burns out or looses connection then there will be no dashing lights.
