most if the time with a hydroboost if your steering the wheel, the sharper you turn the less pressure you have for the brake pedal. you will also feel this in the steering wheel when pressing the pedal and then trying to turn the wheel in a quick manor.
does it still stop well on a straight...
the hoses are decent from any auto parts but the pump.... if yous is leaking but still working perfectly fine, I would just get a seal kit for it. if you have to replace the pump, it will never be the same. trust me when I say most places make a "one size fits all" and junk rebuilt and...
best to check with your local DOT. if you plan to cross state lines you also need to look up the regulations in those states as well. IDK about length, but most DOT will tell you do not exceed what the sticker shows on your door. doing it commercially you will be subject to the same scrutiny...
in other news today I have been noticing the AC in the 93 not cooling as well as it has been. even though outside temps are in the mid 80's now.
connected my gauges and it was a little low. added one fresh can of compressed air! first time since getting it working last summer that I have...
Disabled the OnStar, found the module under the passenger side rear seat. just removed all of the connectors and antennas.
for piece of mind I got my amp clamp out and measured the amp output on the wire to the alternator, battery, and main fuse block. the alternator only pushes 26 amps at...
Looks like I will end up adding some aftermarket gauges!! plugged in my OBD reader and the ECM also shows a solid 14.5 regardless if I increase the RPM
Welp I got out there this morning and seeing this... think there is something else going on here. my multi-meter shows 12.6 with the key off at the battery and still 14.7 at idle. but look at what the gauge is reading. first pic is key on engine off, second is at idle. mind you it's been...
I will look to see which fuse runs the onstar and pull it. or see what methods there are to completely disable it. it's old enough to use 3g cell towers that are now dead anyway.
The ignition switch has crossed my mind as where the issue might be. my main thing is I don't what it to leave her stranded again for the same issue! I'm still trying to figure out what happened or what caused the spare battery I put in to go dead and leave her stranded. after I jumped it...
going off the info in that post, I went out there and connected my charger to the new battery. the charger has a display that tells me the state of charge and it says the battery has an 80% charge. So I plugged it in and will leave it over night. in the morning I will see what the it does...
bookmarking this here to come back to. found some interesting information. this links to a 2004 but is most likely the same system as the 06.
read post #6...
I did find a diagram for the charging system. doesn't tell me much other than confirming that the ECM/PCM controls the alternator through a pwm signal. looks like I might have to go through all of the power and grounds along with probing for any voltage drops between the battery and the PCM...
yipes! that happened to me while teaching my daughter to drive on the dodge pickup. wasn't at 60, but we were nearing our turn on a main road. I remind here to use the signal with cars behind us.... she reaches to the shifter and puts it in reverse!!!! we felt and heard the BANG CLANK and...
Yup, that one in the pic has a spring to help with "weak" springs and to help increase carry capacity. they will make the ride rough or stiffer when there is not a load in the back. I installed air shocks on my 95 for this reason since my springs are weak. what makes the air shocks good...
Hey guys, I know I can ask on the trailvoy forums but I'm not a member there "yet" as I had posted in another thread we had the battery go bad on us. the battery was dated June of this year and somehow got smoked to where it would not take a charge. this was a couple weeks ago. I since...
For the most part I think it should. things you need to watch out for is the internal harness may be different along with sensors / solenoids. also depending on what engines are driving it in both yours and on the donor. torque converters could be different.. and no do not plan to re-use...
what I didn't get off the video is how he said about the long travel, he only changed the MC, the travel is in how the pedal is setup. makes me wonder if the travel is reduced with the piston in the MC doesn't go as far.
The brakes on my 93 seem to work perfectly, but on my 95 they are much to be desired. I assume for a 3500 I would use one for a gmt800 3500 truck. thought about trying one for a gmt400 HD and see what happened.
