2 possibilities for fan speed. Underhood fuse #35 40 amp, OR more than likely the blower resistor is bad, they are notorious for going out. It's an easy replacement job, under the glove box. Gives a good how to.
This is the location of the passenger temperature control motor. They didn't...
The WT package would have a floor mount shift stick for 4wd. Electronic not even an option iirc
He replace the 5 speed with a 6 speed. I'd make sure you can select all 6 speeds manually.
Wish there were more inside pics
I would also double check tire balance at a shop, or rotate tires and see if the vibration "moves". Possibly worn out steering linkage or tie rod ends if it has them, but sounds to me like classic cv axle.
CV axle going out. Look and see if it's flinging grease out of the boots. You'll notice it most when tension is put on the joints aka heavy acceleration
I bet you do. I had the Cooper STT's on my truck. Serious off road tread pattern. Got 35,000 miles out of them. A street tread tire should get much more.
I removed the temp actuator, took it apart, and cleaned it up. I didn't see anything really wrong with it so I'm not holding my breath. That actuator was a bugger to get out since it sits directly behind a metal brace of the dash framework. Easy to get to/see, just the stupid brace in the...
No codes. I'll try removing and cleaning the actuator, I have an exploded diagram of the location of all actuators. I've already replaced the actuator for front vent/floor and the rear vent/floor. The rear one has pissed me off because the new one is now broken. Does the whole clicking thing...
Didn't really get much help at the forum for this platform so I thought I'd run it by you guys.
2003 GMC Envoy XL: 4.3l, 4x4, 176,000 miles, manual HVAC dual climate control.
We've only had this for a little over a year now and I've been slowly fixing all the little issues it came with. I...
Cleaned the MAF and cleared the codes. Drove the truck the past 2 days with no light coming back on. The econo-box Saturn got a couple days break since we were dumped on by the snowstorm and they don't plow the streets, so anything 2wd has a real hard time getting anywhere.
thanks guys
Thanks. Now the trick is to remember at the appropriate time (like when I'm home and awake) to clean the MAF sensor. No worries, I have the special cleaner for it from previous vehicles :D
P0171 - Bank 1 lean
P0101 - MAF sensor
P0174 - Bank 2 lean
The truck is running fine, what little I drive it. The light has been coming on and off for the past couple months, I finally remembered at the right time to plug in and check codes today. Am I correct in guessing the MAF sensor...
Maybe comparing apples to oranges, but I did the RMS on my Jeep Cherokee 4.0 engine a number of years ago. Two piece seal like the 6.2. Biggest pain was getting the upper half of the seal to break free without scoring the block. It was kinda stuck in place after 15-ish years. A brass punch...
OK, maybe a dumb question. Just for the sake of boredom I plugged in my truck to the compatibility drop down menu on his page. Says my truck isn't compatible. Glitch or are the brakes on my 3500 different than 2500HD?
