on the relay mod I linked above, to allow it to prime with the WTS, simply add a wire to the relay terminal 87a (center pin) and run it to the GP stud that feeds out to the glow plugs. when you turn on the key the LP will run priming the system until the glow plugs have heated up.
the lift pump is powered through the ops (oil pressure sensor) a common failure point and why so many of us have done the relay mod. some folks also add a signal wire from the GP (glow plug) controller to energize the added relay so the system will prime while the WTS (wait to start) light is...
from what it sound like, you have air in the fuel system which is a common problem and can be hair pulling to fix. also need to make sure your lift pump is working and providing correct pressure. when they fail it can pull the fuel system into a vacuum and create air leaks from anywhere in...
Here is something I found on another forum about DTC code 18. it might help. I copied it word for word including the links.

and do you know the actual trouble code numbers when you checked them with the scanner? that will help a lot, some are triggered when a specific one is the culprit.
do you still have your old PCM and prom chip? they make a difference and tells the PCM what engine/trans you have along with type of programming. if you have them. can you tell me what the 4 letter code is for the old and the new? I assume you got the new one from a donnor truck. new...
I can't find any pics online to give a visual on the timing chain and IP gears, but there are some decent youtube videos on the timing chain replacement that shows good detail.
unfortunately no you can't see the top of the piston. line up the timing marks on the sprockets if you have the cover off.
what codes did you have prior to replacing the PCM, and what codes do you have currently? I assume you swapped the prom chip from the old to the new PCM?
Welcome @woolydogg Were all here to help!
Give us a little more detail on your truck. what all the issues are and what you and others have done to try and fix it. any upgrades or modifications that have been done as well. best thing is to fill out all the rig details in you account...
Here is the shop manual with diagrams. I had to upload it to my google drive since the file is too large to post here. the radio section starts on page 254.

That blue wire marked system remote is the one that sends power to turn on the amp. I will see if I can find the schematic for your burb, it should show the wire colors as well.
No not really. our trailblazer has no labels anywhere. I had a hunch it had it along with XM satellite. ran the RPO codes and confirmed it. you can run the vin on some sites online to get the installed options at well or swing by the GM stealership the parts counter can pull the info off...
Oh yeah if your burb has On-Star, you'll also need a module for that too for the speakers to work properly.
One thing I learned about can bus too is when you turn the key to start the engine.... most when you turn to crank it cranks till YOU let go of the key. on a can bus system when you...
Run the RPO codes in the glove box to see if it has the bose system. I think on the older ones there is one wire on the stereo connector that needs power when the stereo is powered up for the amp to work if it has one. The stereo should send the power out from that wire into the harness, works...
I spent most of the day tinkering with the 93 truck chasing electrical issues. the last couple if weeks driving it before getting the 95 going the battery meter in the cab had been acting strange. voltage would be up in the 13's until the gear vendor overdrive kicked in, then the voltage would...
