Took ‘99 K2500 Suburban in for ac recharge. Last charge a year ago. Mechanic says the compressor has a really slow leak and only fix is to replace it. Need to go through receipts to check on the warranty for the Sanden compressor as it was installed just two years ago.
Separately also got my...
Engine Coolant says 211+. If you’d going to tow, you need to replace that GM turbo with something larger.
If you had a load on, then your mpg will be way lower. 10 mpg is not unheard of depending on the size of the load.
So I have the speaker removed from the second DS door. Playing with volume and bass and the speaker on the PS second door crackles badly on bass. So that one is gone. I suspect I will end up replacing all the speakers in the end. Then I will add giant subwoofers and a huge amp and lower the...
This is for the JBL speakers I bought. More watts power than the Fosgate. 3 ohm which is better suited for the thin wiring that GM uses. Fits my ‘99 (don’t need their covers).
The AC Delco one I took out was 4 ohm.
In addition to the used AC Delco replacements, I just ordered some JBL GTO 629 speakers, which were very highly rated. I’ve always been a JBL fan.
Alright, pulled fuses starting with the box in the engine bay. Second one, a 30 amp, was blown. Checked stereo, no rear speakers. Checked all other fuses in the engine bay and they were fine.
Started pulling fuses in the box on the side of the dash and fuse #13, a 20 amp, was blown. Check the...

This is my exact problem. I did exactly this (connect blue amplifier wire from stereo to pink at the truck harness) per your prior instructions and got nothing. It’s obvious that I’m not getting the amplifier to work, though I tested the blue/white stripe...
Yesterday I jacked off the morning on stereo head unit wiring. Complete fail other than achieving a cleaner re-routing of the mic and ground wires to behind the dash. Also cleaned up the HVAC wiring harness as it was stuffed poorly into the dash which was causing intermittent outages of the...
I checked the blue with the test light first and it eventually comes on after the stereo head unit boots up. So I connected blue to pink and nothing. Still just feint sound from the tweeters and nothing from the rest of the speakers. I am sick and tired of messing with this shit.
