What would be stopping the tube from going all the way to the oil through the dipstick tube? It is a few inches shy of getting to the oil in the pan.

Just to be fair, I'm not upset about these facts. I can fully understand that a new set SHOULD not need to be tested by a vendor without adding cost which the market might not allow. It may upset any warranty also.

I think the frame looked solid based on the amount of factory coating still in place. I just believe there is a fair amount of salt it has been in based on the type of rust that is showing up.
