    BRF fitting now available. www.leroydiesel.com

Nice piece for owners that just want to buy it and be done. Good to see it available individually. I don't have any heat issues. It gets cold here too. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

    DS4 lift pump pressure gauge

I'd definitely look into Leroy's new upgrade kit. 0.5psi under load while dragging around a Hummer is no good. You want to maintain 5psi even under the highest demand. Trust me. And that 0.5 psi will turn into 0 or even worse after a few months when the EP158 starts to slowly die.

    My 6.5 turbo diesel

Get a 5521s spec pump for ULSD if you can and don't go reman. If the truck is in good condition it should be worth it. Note you'll need the proper electronic tools to set timing upon replacement. These are EFI diesels starting in 94, thus the PMD. Sent from Tapatalk

Loss of Boost/Harder Starting - Possibly related?

Stepper motor issues would cause both as well but should throw a code for a timing mismatch. Hard to tell without scan tool or data logging Sent from Tapatalk

Test the big head with shop air to see if it's creeping open? Sent from Tapatalk

Loss of Boost/Harder Starting - Possibly related?

Any more smoke or does it seem like a lack of fuel issue? Could be as simple as a bad batch of fuel since it was running so well till now. Sent from Tapatalk

    Erratic throttle and black smoke

More negative is more advanced and -1.0 is a good setting. Little advanced over stock but not too much to where it gets more noisy. Sent from Tapatalk

    Erratic throttle and black smoke

And the usual cause is a weak lift pump or other fuel supply issue that caused extra stress on the IP to wear it out so go over everything. Sent from Tapatalk

Long, slow build of my truck

You are seeing the same thing I'm now wondering. The 7 blade hx40 wheel would help but this setup is no slouch. I have a 6 blade HX40W on now with the tune tweaked to match. Sent from Tapatalk

Tossed in a stainless scrubber earlier and added the missing 4.5" intake clamps. Will have a few hundred miles on it this week and will update after. Thanks all. Sent from Tapatalk

    Catching blow by

I connected my setup to the intake today to see how it does. I'll look for some scrubbers to add inside the can until I find a reasonable provent. Got it close to 12 o clock orientation Sent from Tapatalk

Converting to the DB2 as the DS4 just plain SUX...

I don't currently have a truck to test on so that slows it up a bit. What's your project timeline? Sent from Tapatalk

Converting to the DB2 as the DS4 just plain SUX...

I'm working to tweak the obd2 PCM code to TCM only but it's not ready yet. That would make your life much easier. Sent from Tapatalk

    FASS DDRP/DRP Lift Pump Install

They make a LED for this specifically for the Bosch VP44 equipped Dodges that the FASS DDRP pump is for. Because it has a min inlet pressure requirement like the DS4. It's cheap too if you don't have a gauge. Sent from Tapatalk

    FASS DDRP/DRP Lift Pump Install

I like this idea. All I need to add is 2 -6 y blocks and a 3/8 check valve Sent from Tapatalk

    FASS DDRP/DRP Lift Pump Install

My only gripe about flow on fail is that none of my gas vehicles do it so why does it matter if my diesel allows it once I get a reliable pump on it? That's how I came to look past it but I do run far less miles than some may on their 6.5. Sent from Tapatalk
