Thanks. I'm gonna hoof it the 2 miles home from work... If I don't die on the way... Snatch the pmd out of the bumper and hook it up to the wire without the extension and see what she does. I may have to run like that for a week til I can order a new wire (from a reputable dealer)... And then...
Thank-you. After some fasting and prayer (sorry folks I'm a good Christian girl) I feel peace that it's biggest problem is that Chinese wire harness for the pmd that I've been using. Can that cause me to kill the pmd's or is it more of a passive part (pmd) that once I get a good wire it will...
Starts just as well as it always has...
Is there a way to clear the computer codes without a scan device?
Oh and a friend of mine is selling an obd2 for $5.
So I am hot (heat wave in my part of Texas with triple digit heat indexes), tired of my truck not running and my crazy husband talked me into listing her on Facebook marketplace for a measly grand. You would not believe how many people think they should be getting a perfectly working vehicle for...
Pretty deep... At least up to her belly. Other trucks on the road were belly deep. I know the tailpipe was under for a bit. It was maybe 100 yards or so across.
Got the pmd home and installed. Thinking I need a pedal assembly too because it just revs high (4000-4500) and won't come down... Black exhaust too. And gonna get a new wire harness for the pmd. My "original" disappeared.
Should I try putting the resistor in?
As in not started at all? About 2 weeks. Having fits for almost 2 months. First rev'd high and billowed black smoke May 22nd. Sat for a week til I got it home. Got Amazon pmd memorial day, O'Reilly's one on the 5th. Ran decent the 6th til hit 55+ then rpm's ran away and had to break hard to get...
Was able to use a phone and snapped a pic of the old one... No resistor... So none in new one. It started up right away when Hubs and the girls got it on. But still odd rpm's and black stinky exhaust. Thinking I need to bleed the fuel filter again. Not sure the so called "mechanics" did it right...
I'm in East Texas... Having troubles with my 95 GMC 1 ton (6.5) must be the year. Tranny is ok (auto) but having fuel issues. If I can't get her running right she'll be up for sale for $1000. Ran just fine (minor hiccups) til I took her "swimming" down the road. During a hellacious rain storm...
Guess I should divulge my last name too then.
Heather Roberts. Might get to me rather than any other Heather... Not that I know of any...
Thanks Guys...
Thank-you... I'm crying now...
I'll put it behind the license plate... To the right of the passenger air hole. Where the crappy Amazon one is...
I'll let Pastor know. He was out at youth camp this past week. South Padre Osland down by Corpus Christi. Schlitterbahn hosts youth camps from all...
I think it is partly the pmd. She did initially idle better with the more expensive one. Sending the Amazon one back as soon as I can get a new harness and heatsink. And a hacksaw to chop off the rusted bolt holding the old one on and see if there is a resistor in there. It's in the bumper nose...
I so wish a couple of you guys could stop over. I'm such a baby to this stuff. I helped my step-dad all the time with our vehicles as a teen. But no diesels. Wish I could pick his brain but he's 84 and has Parkinson's and age induced dementia and has trouble figuring out how to plug a lamp in...
I think its the pmd I've been using (took the more expensive one back to trade for an app). A $90 Chinese one off Amazon. #9 resistor.
So pmd and app. Had some changes with both when used by themselves. Now maybe just try them together... Once my girls get working and a bit more income.
Pretty...
Yeah... Wish I had the money to have someone go over the fuel delivery system from tank to injectors... Both my girls have interviews at Wal-Mart to get working and we have an appointment with a disability lawyer for my husband. We do need a 2nd vehicle and then my precious Beast can rest and...
No paper clip or obd reader. I took it to autozone one of the times it was running ok. That's probably why no codes. It was good...
Paveltolz thanks for your offer of your books. I priced a Chilton manual at O'Reilly's auto parts for $30 (US).
Well time to consult with my other half. My...
