Suburban Replacement Fuel Tank and Fuel Line FYI.

I just replaced the Tank and Fuel Lines from the Lift Pump back on my Burb: Fuel Tank was a Spectra GM43B and it came with the Metal Baffle Box installed. Fuel Lines were pre-bent from Lines To Go (Lift Pump Back Kit FL507-DD1 for the K series) and were a great match and installed with only one...

    Injection Pump Test

Arghh cannot find it, what is the quick IP test, hold throttle at 2000rpm and release, engine stalls bad IP or something like that? Just was sat outside and revving the engine and she stalled out, does not do it every time but its there. Fuel pressure seems good on gauge and fairly fresh...

    1997 K1500 rear end

Regarding rear discs I highly recommend TSM manufacturing company for this, just google TSM brakes. Go with the double caliper brackets and install a separate hydraulic caliper and their mechanical ebrake. I tried the Caddy combination calipers first and was not impressed. TSM were great they...

    93 Delphi Lift Pump

For anyone else with the same question I found the following info: The HFP905 is 9.5 - 14.5 psi shut off and the FD0009 is 4 - 6 psi shut off. Also for anyone wondering the Heath Lift Pump specs out as follows, note this is a pump that is at least six years old, readings taken Post FFM (thanks...

    Intake Heater

They usually work fine and get the job done as far as I am concerned especially when you cannot plug in. ;) The thick smoke that billows out of the intake filter before you actually crank raises a few eyebrows though. :D More than once I have been on a boat in the cold months and the owner...

    Intake Heater

Yep used in the marine field also. Physically creates a flame in the intake manifold which then gets sucked into each cylinder as you crank. Common on Perkins engines, later models used these in conjunction with glow plugs. Cheers Nobby

    93 Delphi Lift Pump

Can anyone confirm if the part number for the 93 Delphi lift pump has changed? Prior threads list the pump to be a HFP905. However Rockauto and Delphi Online Catalogue now show a FD0009 for the 93. Cheers Nobby

What's the deal with the 2500s with 6 lug?

Ferm, I wonder if that is because of the year or the 15/2500 thing. Cheers Nobby

    Rear Suspension Options

No I had no real issues with sag empty prior to the install so was installing from a load carrying perspective and I get your thinking. I would say though that from a height correcting standpoint running empty it will not adversely stiffen things up. Hang on a sec you are in Western NY, how...

    Rear Suspension Options

I'm running a 1500 Burb with Airbags and Rancho RS9000 adjustable shocks and love it. She now rides nice whether loaded or empty with a simple change in pressure. Loaded I do fine at 40PSI and as others have said about 20PSI gets you about an inch in height. To be honest the RS9000 are really...

In the same vein does anyone know if the Diesel Suburban 2500 uses a different frame to the 1500? Cheers Nobby

Advice on repairing wiring for glow plugs

What he said, I wire boats for a living to a very high standard and can attest to the quality of Bruce's work. Simply put I could not of done it better myself.

Brainstorm session Turbo and N/A together

The bypass valve on the roots blower for the 92 series was at the end of the blower in the end casing and opened and a specific pressure as the turbo started supplying. This valve in effect when open created a passage between the intake and output of the blower lobes so therefore causing a...
