    1969 IH 1300D 4X4 - Pump Truck

Did some cleaning, measuring, cleaning, fixing of the community shop vacuum, etc. I will be doing the "drill bit" mod on the shifter pin. Stock size is 1/4'', I had hoped to upsize to 17/64'' but its still a little loose. If we are going this far, and how much it actually gets driven we are...

    1969 IH 1300D 4X4 - Pump Truck

Bit of an update here. Planning my winter projects, this year its minimal due to family, life, you know the drill. First 2 on the list: Take care of rust scale on drivers floor board; and Attempt a fix on the looser than loose shift knob. It looks a little rougher than I hoped under the...

Haha, I think technically they went by CSN, and later CSNY. CNY is the slang we use for Central New York. Ohio was a great song from them. It does far outweigh my age, but I do like my fare share of classics!

    Nice to see ya back!

Still going! Only update is fixed the dim low beam issues. Helps to get the polarity right on the Fisher to truck harness! No real big snow events as of this season, just nuisance events for CNY.

Well first 2 actual plows are in the books. Only issue to note is voltage. When working the plow a lot there is voltage drop and the dash pegs to near 15V (ScanGauge says 15.3). We definitely need a battery upgrade, and dual battery install. I am putting a trickle charger on it for now to help...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

Went our for an unexpected jaunt tonight. A few noticeable things: -The low beams are very dim for some reason. High beams seems to be sufficient. Contemplating on going aftermarket LED conversion, but it's strange why the low beams are so dim looking and not the high beams. -We ran a few...

    My 2005 Yukon XL

Got the 2 inch spacers out back and cranked the bars. They are shot, nearly 2 turns on the DS bolt and its nearly maxed. Currently 1-inch rake to the back.

New plan is to crank the t-bars as little as possible to get some weight off the timbrens. Of course I am nose high now so will be putting a coil spacer in the rear to level, I hate squatted junk. This is all temporary, will eventually convert to coil struts in the front and the H2 springs out back.

I found out today just how correct you are. I had these on my 94 K2500 and never even noticed them, but my t-bars were cranked as well. The Yukon is bouncy as hell right now and I hate it. I need a t-bar crank now to help get off the timbrens just like you said.

Got the timbrens in, lifted it a bit more than I hope. Started at 36.25" from ground to fender lip. Now almost 37.75" while the rear only measures 36. Will need a spacer for the back or maybe go to H2 coils?

Found 1 of the 4 headlight plugs was on the B side, all others A side. Assuming this is it, flopped the single to A. Will test out next time I am near the plow. Timbrens arrived today.

Been chasing a quirk with the new plow that I thought was going to be an easy fix. Well, I still think its gonna be an easy fix but it took me much longer to get there. The passenger side low beam on the plow is not working. Assumed it was the bulb, replaced it and no change. Swapped drivers...

Got the JY handheld controller bracket mounted. Also did a mod I saw on FB for the cup holders. Mine were always loose, going around corners the drinks would flip. These are inserts from jump seat trucks. Works great!

Ordered a set of Timbren SES bump stops for the front end to help carry the puny 500-pound plow setup. Currently it squats a good 1.25-inches with the plow up. Also ordered a set of shoes. Hopefully everything will be here next week.

    Looking for some towing advice

This was the load I mentioned above. Just not good tie down locations for a truck of this size on a trailer this short. And this is only a Reg cab long box! Also with the big tires I have to "squeeze" through the wheel wells.

    Looking for some towing advice

If its the truck we are all thinking its definitely a land yacht, no u-haul options. I remember seeing it will run and had a leak, is it easier to fix, temp. plate, and drive back? I assume your truck has a goose neck option, even talking 16-foot that is short for the truck, you will be hanging...

Me too, that stupid tank is expensive. If it doesn't I will wait to change the fluid till the summer.

Made it out to the Junkyard today. I had a wide list of things I needed, and wanted. Todays scores: HB13 bulbs for the plow lights (1-low beam is out), snagged a few for $2 to have a spare..... Fisher/Western handheld controller dash mount off an F250. Windshield washer sprayer tubes leading...
