What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Fired the truck up. Runs great. Getting good at bolting the pump to the engine and getting the timing offset fairly close. Checked the offset and it is on -0.079. I left it there. After fixing one fuel return hose at the front of the right sside head, seems to not have some leaks. After about an...

This is a Flight Systems IP. The pump was functioning real nice like, it just had a loose fitting. I checked all eight of the outlet fittings on the back of the new pump. They all seemed to be tight. New Stanadyne PD is getting mounted to a new heat sink. I’m welding on another heat sink...

Original IP is removed from the engine. Beginning to warm out there. Shut down the garage and fired up the AC unit. See if it’ll cool some before I invite my friend over to mess more with this Triumph motorcicle. That and I have a couple parts I need to remove from the original pump and install...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Daylight is appearing, time to get to the garage, get that original IP removed and the new unit installed. See how it runs with that. Today I’ll box the reman Flight Systems pump and send it back. I am in no way condemning the FS reman pumps. I believe that it was a fluke that I got one with a...

Usually a good brand of brake and parts cleaner does nicely. Before getting too carried away, spray some in rag until it is saturated, then rub some onto an area of the valve that contacts no surfaces and see if the foamy portion disintegrates. Orielly store brand is good stuff. I have tried...

That little black ground wire is never long enough. I’ll clip and strip that and add in about eight inches of extension wire of the same gauge. Then the harness plugs can reach out where I have the extension harnesses from the PMDs located. Also, I have a spare heat sink and also an extension...

@Big T Curious about those balance beads. I have heard good about them, never any bad that I remember.

My old enjun’d oil things up real quick like. Now I’m searching for a throttle body that would have a 2-5/8ths OD for the hose size. Most have a square four bolt flange on the other end. I can build an adapter for that. I just cant have enough going on on my truck. Just have to create more...

I just didnt want to commit to it being safe to run. I have a fear of an engine having a run away experience. I am going to adapt a throttle body from a gasoline powered engine into my intake system. I want to have the capability of shutting down the source of air/oxygen just in case something...

Wow, that was a fortunate mis-hap. Not fortunate that you had to spend more money but fortunate on the location. I do have a good pulley that I had removed from an arm that wasnt holding up so good some more. The pulley had been replaced and I put maybe 10,000 on the new pulley when the...

Sad but true. You could try a new CDR valve but it most likely would be the rings.

    My new garage.

IDK what that stuff was that they sprayed over the foam board. Many chemicals melt that stuff so it must be something quite special.

    My new garage.

I loved going into Sawyers store. Fresh meat hanging, fresh burger in the glass cooler, candy, candy bars. Ice cream snacks. What a treat but too poor to spend much. I sold news papers on the streets, ten cents, a nickel profit. I’d save my money and buy some apples or peaches, something that...

    My new garage.

It was once a real nice grocery store. Is solid concrete then the foam boards placed over the concrete. I’m not sure about the fastening devices. After it was all sheeted in then they sprayed this stuff on the foam.

    My new garage.

I’ll get a picture of this building. This one was done about six or so years ago. Looks solid as a rock. Pic after I get home in bout a half hour. 😹

    My new garage.

Over here, they started installing closed cellular foam board to the exterior of some builldings then using some kind of s cement/grout looking stuff to spread over them. Gives it a sort of a stucco look but with great insulation value.

    Hi everyone

Welcome 87. That sounds/reads to me like a mighty interesting enterprise.

That stuff probably withstand earth quake to a certain degree too.

    My new garage.

Some kind of dense foam ? ? ? ? He cut them with a carbide tipped hand saw of sorts.
