I don't think the precups will be make much if any difference. What's your TDCO? Fuel pressure? Any black smoke? We need more info what all did quadstar have you check?
So I went to start my truck at my job site today and it just clicked, verified the starter relay was what I was hearing. Went underneath with a hammer to tap on the starter. Had my son hit the key while I was under there. It cranked but had lots of sparks at the terminal. Got home and checked it...
I've reused intake gaskets several times. Just inspect them good. On the dye some people have issues others don't. Don't know what the variables are , maybe fuel quality, maybe optics.
The only thing to watch out for is the tiny vent hole on it. Other than that I couldn't find a chemical in my shop that would hurt the diaphram inside.
