If it takes 5 seconds then it sounds like the check valve in the LP is bad and letting the fuel drain back towards the tank. Your clear line should show a massive amount of bubbles on initial startup. If you don't have help set up your phone camera to record a video while you start it.

try unplugging the temp sensor in the coolant crossover

One of the wires going to it is a ground. The actual light doesn't need to be grounded to anything.

Supposedly redhead uses oversize balls for the center area

shouldn't matter which one goes where. the bulb doesn't care which direction the power flows

Put a micrometer to those ball bearings and use the largest ones in the middle of the stack
