    93 4L80 TCM

I did some reading 9n this a few years back. To my knowledge there is no .xdf available for the TCM's to be able to program one. You're also up against trying to find a reader and burner as most all the companies that sold them have run out pf stock after the chip shortage, and decided it's not...

    1989 R1500 Suburban w/rear AC Orifice Size

You have to trim the fins off of the GM orifice tube as it sounds like you got the condenser mount style, there is an evap mount style as well that doesn't have the fins on the back. Most use the Ford orifice tubes for the evap mount. 41 degrees sounds about right for a 28 psi cutoff. Most r134...

    2006 Chevy Express 3500 4l80e swap into an 01 Chevy Express 3500

The only difference to my knowledge is the pressure control solenoid changed in 04 due to a supplier change, but both styles interchange with each other.

    Our Florida members

It wasn't much of anything for me, didn't even get much rain. Most of the damage was flooding from the storm surge along the coast to the north of me.

Quesiton/ Opinions: LB7 Rad & CAC in GMT400 Core Support

Use the 6.5l radiator, it's the same size core as a lb7/lly radiator. FYI, many of those aluminum radiators are well known to suffer corrosion issues after just a few years. Many shops have stopped selling the mishimotos because of it.

    1989 R1500 Suburban w/rear AC Orifice Size

GM used sae threads on R12 vehicles and metric on r134 so you couldn't intermix parts. There was an updated txv for 94/95 suv's to deal with liquid slugging in the rear ac. I don't know of any updated valves for r12 units. The slugging problem only happens when you run the ac with the rear...

    Condenser

Single air gmt400's that were factory r134 are 2 lbs(32 oz) or 2.25 lbs(36 oz) for 4 door models, and dual air models were 4 lbs(64 oz) with the .062 front orifice or 4.25 lbs(68 oz) for ones with the .072 orifice. These are the factory specs, so take them as a guideline as replacement parts...

    Condenser

That is a parallel flow, but not the modern design. Fyi, parallel flow condensers cannot be properly flushed, so if there is ANY question about it's condition, replace it. The apdi/agility 7014544 is an excellent factory replacement condenser and is what I run in my Tahoe that puts out refer...

96 K2500 4L80E no overdrive for only one day??

I'm guessing this is a gas powered truck? If so I would suspect either it detected a heavy misfire, but that should have caused a flashing check engine light, or your TPS was glitching on you. Either way you need a scanner on it when it's acting up to see what it is seeing.

    Condenser

Guess I need to update this post. I did finally get around to getting this condenser swapped in. I ended up using a combo of tubes & brackets off my old condenser, an old evap, and some aluminum ac hose ends to build adapter lines to connect the factory lines to the condenser so that nothing is...

GMT800 front brake question, 3500 SRW vs DRW

For the rotors, drw gmt800 use a rotor with a narrower vent channel so there is a thicker rotor, but they're all 1.5" thick. I did find some brands that list just 1 rotor for both srw & drw. As to the calipers, I don't know. GM uses 1 knuckle for all 8 lugs and they're all dual 2" piston...

GMT800 front brake question, 3500 SRW vs DRW

Gmt800 8 lugs all use the same front brakes, in fact I don't believe they changed the 8 lug brakes until 2011.

GMT400 Crew Cab Rear AC Possible Project

The Suburban rear ac would not fit in a 4 door pickup, it installs over the wheel well in the passenger rear corner, and is a fairly large box. In a Sub there is a Y tube coming off the condenser that splits off to the rear, and the orifice for the front goes in it as well. You could put in a...

    2008 4l80e transmission

Are you going with a cable or dbw throttle body? I would use a GM 0411 red/blue plug PCM unless you want flex fuel, then I would use the blue/green plugged p59 PCM. The Holley is convenient, but expensive, just not needed for most users as the stock PCM's are cheaper, highly tuneable, and WAY...

    4L80E interchange,2000 into 2002?

If both the 2000 and 2002 both use the same style output yoke(bolt on or slip) then you're good to go. The only difference between a mid 99 to 02 behind a 5.7l is the style output yoke it used, but iirc vans mostly all came with the slip yoke. The kicker part is both style shafts have the same...

    1989 R1500 Suburban w/rear AC Orifice Size

GM switched to a .062 in 96 after all the compressor failures running r-134 in dual air units. I have one in mine now and it does the job.

    I’m a Runaway

Iirc this truck did have an air shutoff, but it was before the 1st turbo, and the intake line between the turbos let loose, so it did no good. I know some have wanted to mandate shutoffs after the turbo for situations like this, but it happens so rarely, they haven't pushed it.

    CKO TECH 2

It does for the 1 year only 95. I learned about 95 being a 1 year only ABS when my local dealers Tech1a could not connect to my 95's ABS, but the Tech2 works just fine. The Tech2 does basically everything from 92-12, and with some creativity it can do some earlier stuff(you can scan 87 tbi's if...

    2006 2500 HD CV joints

When you replace CV shafts, make sure to get thermoplastic boots. Neoprene boots are lucky to hold up for 5 years anymore for the most part, but it's not uncommon to find 25 year old thermoplastic boots still going. As to CV's, they tend to make a popping/crumpling sound when turning when they...
