All of those saying could be seen on t-shirts at the truck stops across America.
I had to draft a VW diesel Rabbit just to get up my last hill yesterday. And you know how fast they are.
No, nothing wrong with the engine. Good oil pressure and no metal in the oil. No big injector rattle...
Ted is reading these little articles. And still using the Heath propane system and Heath/Snow 2 stage WMI. The Heath/Zex Nitrous system is still in the pickup but not being used at this time. Still not sure what I'm going to do yet as far a hitting the dyno anytime soon. With those marine...
It wasn't the high water that did it it was the rain and wind. In coming tide, very high, high winds, and the creek flowing out very fast but being pushed in by the wind. The water in the creek was a little deep but not enough to get in the air filter, maybe just over the hubs. The sand was very...
I went to the ocean this past weekend. I can honestly say I do not like my AFE 2 instake or fender fresh air vent for this one reason, now. While driving on the beach by Ocean Shores, with the tide coming in, I saw a brand new Camaro stuck in soft sand and I figured I would just pull this guy...
Do 'NOT' shift gears when you are turning a corner!
Do your pretrip as if your livelyhood depended on it, because it does.
Do not take chances with this, you may not have noticed a low tire when you pulled in but when you get ready to leave it is now low!
Check your glad hands and...
Probably has more to do with the loss of the larger amount of fuel and having the turbomaster turned down to 15 pounds of boost from 23. But the ATT would set you back in the seat a lot more when it shifted. You could feel a lot more power was available.
What Buddy said!
Three of the marine injectors were not spraying, just squirting at 1,200, the tips were burnt. The other 5 were popping at around 1,500. The ATT made a big difference in performance but when used with the bad injectors something didn't feel right.
With all the fuel going...
Hey guys, if Paul can get to the Salt Flats from Oslo, Norway, then it shouldn't be too hard for the western part of the United States to get to the Salt flats for support!!
Matt, thanks for the compliment on my pickup, I didn't have any pictures to post!
Paul, thanks for the story and pictures.
After a lot of time and more money spent than I had planned, and a little more things to do, this is almost done. Stock injectors, AFE intake, and Timing set at -1.67...
As mentioned, cowl induction. I'm not sure but didn't Smoky Unick figure this out years ago to force air into the carbs? I put hood vents on my pickup but on the far rear corners. I'm not sure but I'm thinking this will take some of the engine heat out of the engine compartment. Maybe it helps...
Is nitrous still potentially part of the plan? Just curious how you'll limit boost as drive energy goes higher (w/ additional fuel inputs)?
Nitrous is still part of the plan.
Just got my propane system back from the shop today. Had to make sure it was calibrated correctly, which it wasn't, it was set with way to much propane. Now it will start drawing at 1 pound of boost, but with just a whif of propane. At 2 pounds of boost the amount of propane is .5 CFM and then...
