Dang that sucks. While it's been very hot here, over 100 degrees for a couple weeks straight, and pretty dry most of the spring and summer our reservoirs are at ok levels. Crops aren't the greatest, but looks like farmers will stay afloat. Too bad you couldn't get hay from here. Shipping...
Dad had a bird build a nest under the hood right next to the battery in his '84 way back when. It actually had a couple eggs in it. In the birds defense the truck hadn't moved in awhile but still...........
My 2 original treadwrights have about 27000 miles on them and I'll have to replace them before winter. Like you it was an experiment, but won't be buying again from them. I can get brand new tires with full road hazard warranty at discount tire down the street for the same price.
What the heck. Last time I priced tires I was quoted over $1,200 at all the major tire stores, which is why I ended up buying treadwrights. I'm going to need to buy 2 tires for the beast this summer. Don't like the way the ones on the back axle are looking with all the weather checking. Plus...
I kinda wonder how much more torque they could have made out of the 496 if they would have kept it in production. I had a 6.0 before this and it is a very good engine. empty and light loads it does just fine and still gave 12+ mpg. My complaint was when I hooked up to my horse trailer, hauled...
Long story short, my in-laws have a cabin in the woods...more like a run down line shack. Anyway, I am wanting to build a storage shed and they said there was a "hidden" cabin up by the main one that was full of good lumber. Here's what almost made me pass out, they said I could have all of...
Ya, crew cab, long bed, 1 ton.....My truck has never seen the inside of a garage.
Although I did manage to squeeze 2 motorcycles, Saturn, and Envoy XL in our garage. It's a pain to get in and out, but at least we didn't have to scrape windows every morning. The Envoy had just a couple inches...
And again......jealous.
I replaced the batteries in my kids spiderman toy with higher quality name brand batteries. About the extent of my upgrading things lately :D
I really love the overall design of the Envoy XL/Traverse EXT. I can haul 7 people, the third row is actually doable for an adult, I get 20mpg on the highway, can actually tow a real trailer, have real 4wd, and is not as big as a full size SUV. Makes getting around parking lots so much nicer...
