Sure that’s not a problem.Basically the lower intake is from a F code engine so no EGR passage to worry about. This truck used to have EGR but I wanted the F code intake instead.I kept the solenoids plugged in and capped off the vacuum line that used to go to the EGR valve.
I bought a 3 bolt...
I have a 01 duramax fan blade on the way along with a 98 Hayden fan clutch to go on my 96 gmc but tighten the bolts firmly with a wrench and you’ll be good to go.Apply loctite if it makes you feel at ease as well.
Sure.No problem at all on posting a link.I’ll probably buy a raptor in a few...
Here’s the finished product from earlier. All painted up and good to go.There was a couple holes in the firewall to begin with so I used one of those with a grommet to prevent chaffing.Just a matter now of upgrading to a better lift pump.I was told the raptor is really good so I’ll definitely...
I’m also using two fuel filters which perhaps is causing a lower output with the primary being 14 micron and the secondary a racor 2 micron. With that said I still need a much better lift pump anyway.I hear good things about the carter P4601 but what do you guys recommend these days? Also in my...
This evening the gauge wiring is wired up with the help of some fuse taps that make things much easier.I definitely need to upgrade to a higher output lift pump.Right now it’s putting out 5psi at idle, drops to 4 psi at around 1200 rpm and 9 psi with the ignition off.
At least now I know how the...
Today I made some progress with the feed the beast modification on my 96 gmc truck with the 6.2.It turned out pretty well.
I used a 9/32 Walter drill bit to enlarge the 7/16-20 jic fitting going into the injection pump.I considered a 19/64 bit but it leaves a thin wall afterwards so I figured...
Hey guys. After more digging today it appears the thread pitch that enters the injection pump is 7/16-20.Sorry bout the incorrect information earlier.
Happy New Year everyone 🍻
I ordered some fittings this morning from Amazon and I have some blue 6AN aeroquip push lock hose that I bought a few years ago from EBay.I might have black aeroquip hose too.
I condemned the old FFM years ago.I use two spin on fuel filters nowadays.
That is true. You could definitely do that.In saying that if you did install the extra fitting it gives you a little more room to thread in a gauge, etc.or whatever one decided to do.I like the extra fitting though.
The quadstar fitting that threads into the pump might be M12x1.5 as well after taking another peak at it.Some of you guys will probably know for sure, but Its only a matter of buying a M10 along with the M12 just to be sure.Heres a M12 I found on Amazon.
For those of you wondering what fittings will fit I did some digging tonight on what possibly may work.
The 6AN is equal in accepting the 3/8 fuel hose. The fitting itself to me that threads into the injection pump appears to be a M10x1.5 with an o-ring under it with 6AN on top.I looked at what...
If you google zagers it shows good reviews but I have some contact info I can give you on a business card he included with the shipment.I don’t think he has an actual website.
Here’s the pump I received from zagers just recently. It has no pmd but I have a few new pmd units I can use on my remote heat sink behind the front bumper.
