I used a good Baldwin filter rated for transmission fluid.
I mounted to the fan shroud with some stainless. I don't remember exactly how
If they don't pop test they should be replaced under warranty. If they need anything done to them to be balanced / pressure adjusted, it should be covered under warranty with replacement injectors.
If you fix new injectors, that might void the warranty

I would go for the fuel pressure gauge at the injection Pump first.
Electric lift pump next. I would Install a lift pump relay.
If you ever go with a Powermaster starter, I would install a starter relay, if it doesn't have one.

A lot of people cussed the brick filters. I never had an issue with mine. Changed every oil change/ 20,000 miles.
