We had 2 in the area. But both are gone.
Asking m g a reputable shop might be a good way to get a line on a roving mechanic.
I've never had a lot of luck hiring things done. Most often.have to fix some things.
The place that worked on the 1996 Suburban transmission was all over it. No...
The last 4L80E I had rebuilt was by circle track racers
I think their warranty was 3 years unlimited mileage. They had confidence in their builds and didn't expect to see anything come back. I should call them about working on my truck.
I don't know they'd do a housecall to get it...
Is it guaranteed?
I would take it to where it was rebuilt and see if they stand behind their work.
I'd do that ASAP.
If you mess with it much, they might be less inclined to warranty any work.
Amsoil does have more than.1 trans fluid now.
I've only used the older stuff. I don't know if they changed the formula when Dex 6 came out.
I long for the days when I stocked one kind of trans fluid. One kind of coolant and mostly, one kind of oil.
I appreciate the thought.
I've been walking, trying to keep my activity level up. Yesterday, my wife had to come pick me up in the car. I was only making it about 50' at a Crack before I had to stop and let my heartrate slow down.
I'd recommend Amsoil ATF.
I don't know if it was the fluid - I know, years ago, back in the 1990s some of my circle track racing friends swore by it.
I changed the fluid in a friends car while they were on the mail route and they got another week or more out of it.
Hell, I'm willing to pay shop rate and supply about everything.
Just because everything is blocked up & it easier to do things here.
I have the fan, exhaust and inner fender off the truck.
Need someone to pull the harmonic balancer and verify the Fluidampr I have is correct. I believe the...
I hate to guess, but I've seen them.last a long time with just a drip.
Others fly apart and take out the radiator.
I'm not sure if these water pumps are prone to the worst case scenario or not.
I can't givevan opinion on your water pumps.
I don't know what's available or how they hold up.
I always tried sticking with new ACDELCO
I stay away from Rockauto. No customer service if you have any issue with the water pump - that's my experience, anyway.
Rockauto was all good until...
I'm not up to doing anything right now. Maybe in a few months.
Just got back.to bed from trying to bait some traps. I've got a long list before messing with the dash would get to the top.
I don't have much luck finding anybody hire for anything simple. Much less something like that.
I've never had much luck reviving an auto trans with a fluid change.
Even though I always changed my trans fluid and filters, I still never made it over 300,000 on an automatic transmission.
I'd just change the filter and see what it does.
I know there's Triangle Diesel in Irwin Illinois and the place in Michigan I used to use.
I don't know that either are still doing 6.5 Diesel injection pumps.
I sold the 1996 with rebuilt injectors and injection pump for less than the IP was worth.
I know Triangle Diesel was still...
Are there any places that would rebuild either of your injection pumps that you could overnight it to And get it back in decent time?
Could your air infiltration be after the fuel supply hose to the IP - at the nipple or the fuel pressure gauge T area?
