Yup see it all the time. That dashskin would probably run $150 through the PO. Not uncommon at all for shipping to be much more than the item you're buying. Alot of companies that won't ship to AK use UPS only. Can't be bothered to set up an account with the PO which would pick it up from them...

Tried an experiment. I bought a cheap spark plug tester, found a plug that was so bad it wouldn't do anything. Took a torch to it and got the metal body a dull red . Then cleaned it and the video is the result.
