Nate, I think you have me beat as fare as after market components under the hood, like the intercooler, fuel pressure regulator, coolant filter and then all of that fancy electrical work. And if we matched entire truck aftermarket components you really got me beat. I wished I had your talent and...
DING DING DING! Will won! it is the fuel return system coming from the rear injectors. The gauge by the master cylinder is for my pre oiler pump with the OEM oil pressure switch along with an adjustable pressure switch. Does everyone know what the component to the right of the fuel return log is?
Well I've made some headway in the last week, I'll shoot some pics tomorrow and share my progress with you all. Nate I know you gave me some info on the device you use to control the boost pressure to your Puff Limiter but I can't find it. So tomorrow I'll be plumbing a 3/16" boost line from my...
I looked at the gas one I have and I think the actual module may be the same but the cable end at the motor is different. Before Nate helped me come to my senses I pulled the gas CC unit out of storage. I think the end from a gasser may be able to be modified and fit on the other post on the DB2...
Oh it all came together when you posted it, That's why the pic has the rubber grommet in it, I immediately put the grommet in the cable and figured it out. But I would have probably chased my tail for another day or so without your help, Thanks again.
Daa, why didn't I think of that! So that's why the only two parts in my safe keeping box was the grommet and the clip. Well it's been over a year and a half since I took it apart and my memory isn't what it used to be. Thanks guys!
No, I have that one, it has the small groove and fits the cruise control cable as far as I can tell. That's the cable shaft on the left when looking at the pictures. But thanks.
Well trying to make some headway on the Burb this weekend. Does anyone have a picture or a part number for the retainer that holds the throttle cable to a DB2 pump? It seems I have lost mine. It's the one on the right side in the photos.
There's quit a few of these trucks at the U pull it near me, I just thought I'd install the whole window regulator and just have to figure out how to wire it up. I believe the power window regulator assembly comes with the door lock actuator on it also.
Why cant you just put the whole window regulator with door lock actuator out of a donor truck and then just run power and ground supply? I'm sure Nate can do this in his head.
Yea but at least he has an engine to run it on which is better than anyone else out there as far as I'm concerned, look what I spent at Conestoga and they couldn't verify the pump would run correctly on a 6.5, and neither one of their pumps would run right on my motor.
I never ran it with that inlet pressure, I just sent it to Verlin, I think the major thing he did was reset the timing. All I've done is install and run without turbo or intake to verify no fuel leaks and such. Then I came down with Covid and was in the hospital. Been sick since just before...
I had a guy by the name of Verlin Merlin work on it, he put it on a test stand and ran it on a 6.5 engine before and after. I don't think Classic Diesel even has a engine to run their GM pumps on.
