Did you get wheel measurements and any more pics of the turbo separate? What size are the housings, from the side the compressor housing does not look bigger than the HX40's?
Since the DMax fan is composite/plastic, you can drill it out to fit the 6-bolt. But if the clutch is original, its probably lost a lot of its traction so that it wont engage as much when it does. So a new fan and clutch might be a good idea, even if its just a stock 97-98 clutch to fit on...
I thought Heath sold Stanadyne injectors, thats why they are like $500. Since Stanadyne has a nozzle manufacturing plant in Italy I would expect they make them there. I would also expect Stanadyne to care more about it than Bosch, since Stanadyne makes the IPs.
I always recommend rebuilt...
There is a white 10-blade 20" "severe duty" that SSDS sells. With more blade pitch and surface area. From the pictures of it, looks to be a 4-bolt interface as well. There could be a 6-bolt variation.
Yes there is return pressure regulation done in the return fitting as Bison said. Its supposed to be like 5psi, and if not working could cause low inlet pressure.
Once you get the old clamshells off its not bad drilling out the rivets and putting the ES mounts in. Then the zip ties just hold it together until the bolts on the frame really clamp it down. I would recommend not using stock rubber mounts. The ES are much better. There is an install thread...
I would probably put the water cooler under the truck with a fan on it. Your external trans cooler probably helps quite a bit to keep the radiator cooler, but I wouldnt want to add heat to the radiator. Then your underhood temps could be higher as well. In 94, you got a 90GPM water pump, and...
The 2-stroke oil won't cause those issues. It is not going to make 30 gallons dark enough to completely not read the OS. Sathackr dumped black used motor oil in his for 30-40% ratio before the OS stopped working.
Plus he is now having boost and VSS codes. It could be ground issues, or...
Yeah, you might even get better mileage with 245/75/16 tires, since you have the high 3.42 gearing. It will also give you more grunt and more efficient in stop and go, a little more aerodynamic and less rolling resistance on the highway. The K1500 definately sits a higher than my C1500 pickup...
I'm not sure how the Fluidampr would handle significant changes to the rotating mass. Going back to not be able to balance them with the fluidampr. Thats something to ask the designers, if you can use them with lighter cranks, pistons or rods and what kind of tolerance is acceptable from stock...
Were they Bosch India or Bosch Germany nozzles? I expect the Stanadyne nozzles would now be superior to any of the current production Bosch. Stanadyne has their own nozzle manufacturing in Italy, but don't know if they sell just nozzles.
OS ---wire--- PCM
A ---tan/blk--- PA9 ITS coil 1 low
D ---red/blk--- PA8 ITS coil 1 high
B ---orn/blk--- PA10 ITS coil 2 low
C ---yel/blk--- PA11 ITS coil 2 high
The PCM PA connector is the smaller 24-pin connector. Row A is the one next to the connector clip.
Unplug both ends, and...
i just meant the machinists or engine builders that think fluidamprs are bad, need to know they dont work while balancing. if they tried it might contribute to their misunderstanding them.
You have to know what the fluid is to know if its going to be an issue when hot or cold. And I am guessing those guys dont know, and havent looked up the physical properties. And then you must ask yourself, does the fluid viscosity really matter, when its mass you only care about. As long as...
