Those are something that seems like it should just be so simple to do- but the few times I did them, I ended up replacing them later. And rebuilt ones from shops seem to have a higher than expected failure rate. I wish I understood the fine details better. My Hummer needs a reseal is all but...

    6.5TD motorhome starting problem

Picture here is easiest if you don’t understand the above options. Even a couple good pics of the throttle pedal can tell us. Db2 uses a throttle cable like a carburetor on a gasoline car. Ds4 is all electrical.

    New Optimizer Long Block

Looks good from what I see. I don’t see anything overdone. Remember to clean everything INCREDIBLY WELL. Those super fine shavings stick to the metal so you wipe & rinse everything.

    4L80E Harsh shifting from 1st to 2nd

Around 2005ish I had my left thumb bone broken just after the last knuckle. Broke off so hard it tore the end of my thumb off. Went to the hospital and by chance there was a hand surgeon convention in Vegas that week. My Dr was getting off shift when several of the other surgeons visiting...

Rings and bearings while I have the engine out?

On the 6.5 there is multiple issues that can occur. When together & running it’s almost always a case of leave the inside alone unless you do it all. In this situation- pull the engine and inspect everything very well before you spend a single dollar. Heads crack between valves. cylinder...

    Hello to the truckstop.us

I’m thinking you just need to loose the entire front clip, then extend the frame and mount the radiator way out front like a 34 coupe hot rod! “Fit” is more a challenge and opinion than not in this case😂

Eratic behavior from an 85' 6.2 (more below) requesting help please (Two vids in one)

100% DO NOT run fuel line into the cab. An electric fuel pressure gauge is worth the extra money. I’d rather a guy not have a fuel pressure gauge than run fuel line into the cab, and that’s exactly what I did myself in the past. On the transmission- yeah if you can jump to the 4l80e it will...

    Whoops, wrong place!

Welcome. We enjoy helping whoever we can and hearing funny stories. Sometimes the funny story is like this one where I side with your girlfriend’s choice of camaro over your truck and kind worry about anyone admitting they own a geo still! Haha jk- but really I like Camaros. From the early...

Turbo master is for more power and less mpg. If you want more power - go ahead. Otherwise run it for a while

    My 2005 Yukon XL

No. Don’t do that. We had a class from Delco and they taught forcing one open damages the wax or bimetallic- no matter which type it is. The bimetallic was easy to see how it did damage. It would actually bend the softer of the two metals. The wax one he described the damage by imagining...
