Not sure if this is a limited slip,gov-lock, or something else. The pieces on the blue mat were wedged under the ring gear. They're from the pinion gear. Any advise on replacing the pinion gear would be super helpful.

Where is the filler hole? It's a 14bolt

Is the gov-lock the posi trac? And no I haven't checked the fluid yet. Low on funds and injures my shoulder working on the transmission

There is a whining noise coming from the rear-end and I'm not sure if it's the posi or something else. At slow speed turns from a stop it seems to bind or lock up the rear-end.

What size nut. Should I go at it from the top or bottom?

I've replaced both speed sensors. Fluid level is fine but haven't changed filter or flushed and replaced fluid

I have a 92 k2500 Suburban 7.4L 4x4 3/4 ton. I'm having issues with the 4l80 transmission. It's making a whining noise at slightly open throttle at low cruising speeds (30-50). Any help is greatly appreciated. If anyone knows of a manual transmission swap that's bolt in ... any advice would be...
