  • Ok...a little about me. I am a high school teacher and used to work as a mechanic...old school...really old school...never worked on computer ran anything. When timing was an issue I didn't have to check 500 things to get the timing right. This truck is a nightmare for me...for others it might be a piece of cake. I have replaced almost everything electronically...from fuel pump through injectors, from ignition switch to the spark plugs, for sensors...EVERYTHING! MAP, MAF, TPS, O2, Knock, Head Temp, including EGR valve and knocked out the catalytic converter...my truck will run for about 5 minutes...goes through all the gears even...then starts skipping, chugging and slowing down to a crawl threatening to die at any second. Is there anyone who has had this kind of problem? If so what can I do to fix it. By the way, it runs better with the MAP disconnected than it does with it connected.
