95 gasser temp sensor.

Only bad part is 234 is already too hot. Gm should have set that sensor to have it turn on at a min of 220. once it gets above 230 it takes a bit of time before temps start to decrease. they will still increase some even after the fan turns on given that the engine still has coolant flowing. it's the same for the idiot lights. the old saying goes if the light comes on, it's too late! it would be nice if those lights came on and was an actual warning and gave you a moment to shut things down.

Posted this here to get the most views/response. Helping a friend with his 95 k2500 454 truck. Has 2 temp sensors one on driver's side for the gauge one on pass side for the ECM. So the pass side sensor is broken barely all there. We cannot find the sensor that fits the plug. I've gone through all the sensors on RA and none of the pic's show the correct one. Any ideas on where to look for one??View attachment 97977
All the one wire ones have kind of a mushroom shape instead of the rounded sides like in the pic.
Can swap in 1999- 2000 5.3 or s 10, 4.3 single sensor w wire permanently attached to sender, add the 99-00 connector for gauge, same thread pitch and 17mm hex on sender s 10, 1500, both use this sensor. Moves the connection away from the exhaust manifold.
