@brodie
Definitely the shop that rebuilt it is best place to start. If they won’t honor the warranty because the truck was sold, that isn’t uncommon & doesn’t mean anything negative. Charging a normal rate for diagnostics is fair.
But diagnosing what went on with your description- that’s...
@jrsavoie
Almost any pro mechanic will want to have the rig towed to their shop even if a ton of parts requires a uhaul truck to bring them in.
Most shops can’t handle major disassembled vehicles because of the space requirements.
And working at someone’s house is a nightmare of issues that...
Back to square one-
AC Delco or Fluidampr only.
If Dayco offered a lifetime warranty, and you put some Crosscheck across the two rings, checking it each oil change, and IF they didn’t give you grief to replace it a few times… then MAYBE consider it vs Delco if the price isn’t bad. But in my...
Yuppers. The engine is doing its best to shove everything in one direction.
The amazing difference would be if you had it balanced internally- the machinist would throw a rock at you for trying to wear out his equipment! Haha
Haha, you just jumped to the next level with that connection.
Now that it won’t overflow and soak the outside of that connection, clean it with electrical cleaner inside & out. Drive and see if atf leaks through the connection.
If so that short harness needs replaced. But there is a 90%+...
Draining the excess won’t help unless the breather is filled up.
But step one is look for problems, step two is fix known problems before moving onto step three
there is a kit to add a drain plug so the first time you do a drop& splash becomes the last.
B&M makes an ok one but the drain hole is small. I can’t remember who makes the bigger one off hand
Driving it is a good motivator to keep the 6.2 awesomeness Blazer running.
Like eating McDonalds- 50% of the reason is to remind you why you don’t do it more often.😂
If you have a cooling loop that is in your unknown xfer case- it can be failed leaking into the case.
You can have bad mount since pushing up on it eases a sound that shouldn’t be there. This could warp the trans case, or flex the worm tracks. If the case is married instead of a divorce mount...
The weep hole is because coolant is getting into the front bearing.
At some point the bearing will seize up. I have never seen a belt break first- it’s always been the shaft to the fan shears off.
Congratulations, you have a 20” ninja star spinning a few thousand rpm. KISS anything on the...
There are a few variables at play here.
Fill out signature line with what kind vehicle, what transfer case, any modifications done. Seems like it would all be the same but isn’t, so this matters.
Yeah- I understand that. My health fight isn’t as rough as yours right now, and I can’t seem to find anyone mechanically inclined unless they are really good and charge way more than I can pay.
Yeah- thats a nice set up for it. You also have to get the oil block off plate & seal for where the centermount turbo normally is.
The van/hummer/hmmwv intake manifold doesn’t flow as well as the truck lower or hummer n/a intake. Idk if @Twisted Steel Performance has the flow numbers handy...
