    GM parted ways with Allison

Let's just hope the transmission designs dont become victim to bean counter slashes like what happened when GM decided a few corners getting cut on Detroit Diesel's design on a particular diesel V-8 was adequate. Time will tell.

Another 2 door Tahoe for me

Good decision on the painting. I had my brackets powder coated and it cracked and fell off. I have been blasting and painting as time allows. I just finished my third bracket which was the alternator bracket. I put it back on yesterday. I dont know much about powder coat except that when it...

    Electronical Fuel Pressure Gauge

Only trouble i have heard of is the gauge bouncing with some pumps. I use the Walbro pump from Leroydiesel, incidentally

    Electronical Fuel Pressure Gauge

I am going to use an electrical gauge. I considered one pre-Lift pump and pre-inj pump but I think i will just go with one. Mounting in the overhead console using a mount from @Twisted Steel Performance I have a mechanical but have no plans to mount it at the moment.

    Electronical Fuel Pressure Gauge

I have seen stone snubbers, needle valve types and some other type. I am leaning toward the stone type for a fuel pressure gauge - maybe some sort of orifice?. Any recommendations?

    My 2005 Yukon XL

I had planned to use the Borgeson units also but read reviews where people claimed it wasn't too long afterward that they experienced the same issue. Meanwhile, I just deal with the feel up through the steering wheel. I'll have to see if I can get my eyes on the one in my wife's '05 Suburban...

How did you ensure no drilled chips were left between the shield and valve cover body?

    My son's 1968 Chevy

I think we're all hoping this metal ended up in the filter before anything else happened to harm the engine.

    Fuel system setup

I asked about the seal in an earlier post and since what came with the FSU was an O-ring rather than a flat OEM type of seal, I opted to use what was supplied from the factory. No lubrication was needed, as the FSU just sits down in place and doesn't spin.

    Fuel system setup

In September, 2015, I said I might add a filter at a later date. I guess it's later. https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/threads/post-pics-of-your-frc-10-install.43942/#post-508800 I used the same bracket that can be seen in the link but just added some holes to hold both pieces. I'll find a...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Is this the article that was mentioned which Bill Heath wrote when the single thermostat housings became desirable?

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Mine got warmer than I like to see this past summer pulling our fifth wheel on flat ground for about a 10 mile trip. I had to turn off the A/C and haven't had to do that since before I replaced my radiator when I suspect it was plugged. The cavitation mentioned in that dieselpage article makes...
