    Problem: Heavy shudder upon braking

Only thing I know can cause that is warped rotor. Jack it up, remove front tire/wheel. Hold a center punch real close to rotor and turn the rotor. See if the punch drags on the rotor. Could maybe also be created from an out of round rear braking drum.

Get the hed checked out, check pushing rods for straight, new gaskets and run it. It is possible someone may have floated the valves and a couple pushing rods jumped track.

Haynes book should be good enough. Haynes should tell You if the headbolts should be reusable, and if a sealant is needed on the threads when going back together.

Get the book. Thats the advice that I give to everyone. An original OE overhaul/repair book is the best, but having a Haynes book setting there can also be mighty helpful as they sometimes shows short cuts that can be done without costing in damage. And, AFAIK, those head bolts are reusable.

Wire brush and sand it ti shiny clean. Solder flux and solder and tin it up real good. Then the solder will bond as long as there is no grease or oil on the tube. A soldering gun can doooh dat.

WW reservoir was leaking. Motor/pump was working just fine. It was the motor grommet that was causing the leak. I replaced the entire assembly plus the motor/pump and the filler neck. If anyone is in need of this pay postage and it’ll be on its way. I even have the new grommets for it too. Just...

I have had those small return hoses split several times. When one leaks, pull it offt, clipum back then as bad a time as it iz, install them small hose clamps. I’ve not had a one split after squirming the small clamps onnum hose ends.
