I got the wiring all switched around thanks to Glagulator helping me sort out the things that needed changed. I basically had to change some stuff for the vss and reverse switch since the harness I'm using was for a auto and truck is a manual. also had to re do a few things for the abs. going...
so the other side of the plug? I didn't look but I can when I get back home. what would I need to do get the abs diags to work
also where do you build harnesses at. I looked all over trying to find a place to buy a harness
Thanks.
I checked and all of the connectors seem to be the same other than the one from the automatic transmission obviously has a whole bunch of plugs for that.
I recently purchased a 98 3500 HD and the wiring harness is a mess
I pulled it put out and have another one out of a 00 3500 that I was going to swap it out with.
the one I was going to use as a replacement is from an automatic transmission truck and the 3500 HD is a manual transmission.
I...
I got it back to running fine and I wiggled and wiggled and wiggled all the wires in all the wire looms and can't get it to do anything. I have no idea at this point
I check and cleaned the grounds when this first started so I think they are good. I'm thinking it's something with the main engine harness that is under the intake. which would explain why I keep getting these codes for the fuel solenoid and the oil level.
I unhooked the batteries and got the codes to go off after clearing them again and everything was working fine and then I was driving it and hit a bump and it did it again. so I'm guessing I have a wiring issue somewhere going to have to dig into that further
well I changed the CPS with one that was working when taken from the truck and now Im getting these codes that won't clear and the actual injection pump timing is showing 0. any ideas?
I have one just did not have good luck getting the last one off that I tried. haven't gotten back to this problem but it hasn't given me any fits either so.... it's easy to forget
